+1 actually

Emma Watson is the only girl I've ever been attracted to and felt dirty for it

Now you're just plagiarizing my fantasies.

This result is highly disappointing. I think the only girl in the competition I liked less was the Japanese girl.

Oh well, I'm snap voting Emma's opponent next round.

On the bright side, my Google search got a workout.....

Look at the people who showed up and voted for Emma. That wasn't all by accident. I don't feel bad about it but I probably won't do it again.
People need to come to grips with the fact that any contest / poll type game in POG will not be results based. Alliances and strategic voting will always play a significant role. Its the nature of POG.

If people vote against their true preferences in Miss POG, the only thing they accomplish is to increase the number of pictures posted of some girl they find less attractive vs some girl they find more attractive. That's a choice they make willingly, so if they want to vote strategically, so be it.

Emma won because I have an extensive aim list of poggers.

There were multiple people who said that they preferred Yolanthe > Emma. And none of these people voted for Emma for me. They also (and I appreciate this immensely, didn't vote for Yolanthe)

So as far as I know nobody voted against their preferences although one individual did say he felt dirty voting Emma and I explained that was ok.

I should also add the usual reaction was, "Emma is a lot prettier so I'm happy voting her"

Portman got in strategically for sure

she was in 3rd place, and then she got a bunch of votes from people who purposely didnt vote either of the top 2 wagons

You can win that way if you want. I've admitted I got a little irate at my BF when he didn't vote for my girl last year. But I think AIMing people and asking them NOT to vote for someone is pretty icky. And I don't think Emma would approve.
03-03-2010 , 11:44 AM
what?

I never said I did that and I didn't and wouldn't

yeah

I do appreciate that. I never asked them not to vote Yolanthe though. People were like, "I like Yolanthe better so I just won't vote"

and my reaction was "cool, I appreciate that"

Portman was like 10 votes out of 2nd at one point too. and then got votes and the people didnt vote for either of the other 2. some just voted portman

FACT

I do think the person who sets up the poll can and should force you to vote before seeing results.
03-03-2010 , 11:49 AM
if they can and they are not then i think we need to ban legend
03-03-2010 , 11:49 AM
Next year I'm running Miss POG. All voting will be by PM.
03-03-2010 , 11:51 AM
would take most of the fun out of it but I suppose make it more pure

but also totally discourage participation
