so, this was a funny game, and got me to appreciate the limited communication aspect of spying. joust - 5 scared me, but it cleared knight off the board, which made conflict look really appealing. with conflict - 5 i was trying to get racket, row, plane, draft, and mine, and i'd not thought of the narrative sense of conflict when looking at the words

but of the 8 words JM3 and e named on that first clue, 7 were blue and they hit the only neutral (spy). there's an argument that i should just drop an unlimited clue after that, but i didn't really know how to convey that i'd bungled the count on conflict compared to the number of correct words they actually found. hence, confusing them a bit with warbucks instead to get the 8th (millionaire) in there and reaffirm opera as blue. tuxedo just didn't occur to me, but it'd certainly be more straightforward

i wouldn't say it's a game red played badly, just the cinderella guessers crushed it with where their heads were. prip knew he had to play to win on that last clue, and he did, and did about as well as he could have, i think - i looked at those last three words and thought we had time to spare, and slowed down a bit

probably just war - 2, or i was gonna do yours - 1 if they gave us plane on that last clue

Yeah, I guess if he liked the direction we were headed with hood, he would have only clued for 2 words at the end, knowing that we already had hood in the queue. But I'm with you -- couldn't see a better alternative.

Tough one, red team. Good game, all. Good job, inD. Clues were good; we kind of overthought things at times.

So the 5th word for Joust was Hospital (which I realize is pretty weak), and I was hoping to go Almond then Jupiter to close it out.

When Hospital wasn't on your radar at all for Joust things got pretty tricky. I was pretty much at a loss for a 3-clue. Since they had Plane I decided to leave Space on the board incase inD wanted to do something air-related, and just proceed with Almond.

I knew I had to clue 3 to get you off of Hood, and Pandemic was the best I could do. A giant disease that covers a lot of space lol. And hospital is obvious. I also capitalized it to try to clue Pandemic the board game, which has spaces.

All good, Prip. Not sure I would have connected hospital to joust, but I get where you were headed. And we should have done a better job of parsing out that last clue, especially with the game on the line.
