Hmmmm. What to say? Obviously vocals carry this song. Also, I can't believe that hair style was ever popular, but it was. Don't really know what else to say about this.

Total score: 9

I actually really enjoyed this song. Her vocals are pretty great. I actually like her singing Son of a Preacher man a bit better.

Funnily enough, I was just talking to a friend at work about Babymetal not too long ago. I must admit this brings a smile to my face, and I like the energy. Metal is typically very techincally proficiently executed musically in my experience, but the vocals are often not so great. Here, though the vocals can be slightly annoying at times, they are aren't just grating and pretty good most of the time.

Have you clicked the link already? If yes, my condolences, but I did try to warn you. If not, lower the volume to half. Yes, right now. Done? Then you might be able to enjoy this song after all.

My eardrums exploded about 3 seconds in, but once I brought the volume back big time, I actually kind of enjoyed this. Yes, it is meaningless pop, but the melody is catch and the vocals are not offensive. Which, frankly, is almost all you can ask from an ok pop song. Not an earworm, will not seek again, but my ears did not bleed after that first mishap.

Thanks to whoever changed the link from youtube to youpak (presumably tchaz)

First Impression: Based on what I have heard of this round so far, this will probably podium.
So possibly a bit cheesy disco-y song, but hey it's well done and pretty fun.

Total points: 10 (because why maximize points without even changing your song selections...) (seriously the category selections has the strategy side of brain just flipping out...)
Pretty GOAT - probably UD's best ever walrus submission?

Things that make you go .. UD mkay .. I'll allow it

I actually heard this song before. Great thing about being a part of a college choir, is we are exposed to a lot of music in other languages (that aren't too mainstream), but surprisingly mostly opera music. However, One of my friends from choir actually did this song in one of the showcases music majors had to do. Never heard the original, but I'm pretty biased to my friend's voice over this one. Great song though, and funny, once you know the lyrics!

This is just a great representative of this style/era. I can see why it made it into the Fallout soundtrack. It's just pleasant to listen to.

Pretty solid, I think the orchestra could have been used to greater effect. So this is a style I like, though I probably prefer alternatives that swing a little more, but well done nonetheless.

OK, google translate threw up all over the lyrics. Ummm, I guess my main criticism is the how repetitive the music is (seems to be a mini theme); there is nothing that really makes this stand out. It starts OK but then just puts along.

Not one of Jovi's stronger tracks imo. Try Ou Meme?

I like Babymetal

I try, when coming up with Walrus answers, to not use the same band twice in that same Walrus, but always happy to reuse the band in a different Walrus. I also try not to use the same song more than once - but I dont keep a record of my submissions and sometimes that can slip through the net.

i've been involved in too many walruses to not reuse bands occasionally. i try not to reuse songs unless i've legitimately run out of options

Just messin' wid u guys.

Fair enough to do propaganda for Babymetal if that floats your boat, imo.

I only started 2+2-searching because I presumed Somebody to Love had featured lots before - it hasn't - and then I spotted Walrein hadn't heard White Rabbit at that point 18months ago or whatever. Then happenstance took over - even tho there must surely have been at least one other song by a sixties female singer used in an old movie???

& Walrein's right that SLT is a better song. Since you are thuswise adequately determining perhaps I can interest you in a shocking blue postcard?

I have to be honest here. I'm not really enjoying this reveal. For better or worse I didn't do a World Cup Walrus in large part to not overlap. ... hey ho, ie, loltchaz
