This isn't bad. It doesn't feel terribly original but it seems well done. So After a couple more listens this song feels really honest and not manufactured if that makes sense. Good production values meat distilled emotion.

Total Score: 14 points
There's an English version as well HERE which I prefer (as I can understand the lyrics), but needed the Spanish version to fit categories.

Just an FYI, my kids' school lets out in a < 2 weeks which should relieve some of my schedule. Also my my big data side project that I am going to try to turn into a revenue stream is moving along at a good pace.

Try the "easy youtube" add-on for firefox or something similar in order to make the listening more portable ???

I took off next week to work on some stuff for this start up I am working on on the side, and I have started prepping all of the rounds. So I should be able to do reveals M-F (maybe even start tomorrow or sunday, but I have a bunch of stuff already inked in for this weekend.)

Alright, I have all the songs (save 2 can't views and one missing cat 10) in a spread sheet and all B1 songs cued up on youtube. I should get that cat out today and another on Friday (gotta go to the beach with the fam tomorrow), and at least one more on sat/sun.

Reveal might be a little slow because I don't have a clear order for a few. Overall B1 was on the weak side.

Coming in at 11 for 1 base point
This song is rather grating

Spoiler:

Nurse with Wound - Thrill of Romance

The music has this humming background noise that physically hurts to listen to. I think this is what the song was like originally (it was also in Who Framed Roger Rabbit)

Ebrāhim and Royal Orchestra - Bidād - first track, goes to about 2:45

OK background music, but nothing special. It could be a lot better while still keeping it's sound IMO. Like the full arrangement could start sooner, it could be a little less repetative, etc.

OK, google translate threw up all over the lyrics. Ummm, I guess my main criticism is the how repetitive the music is (seems to be a mini theme); there is nothing that really makes this stand out. It starts OK but then just puts along.

Another plateau from meh to songs I like. Going back and forth on the order of the next two, but here where things landed aorn:

Spoiler:

Sudan Archives - Come meh way

first impression: this is ok. I kind of like the video, too. It's weird because its only 2:35, but it feels like it goes on a bit too long. It does have a good feel though.

Total score: 6

Pretty solid, I think the orchestra could have been used to greater effect. So this is a style I like, though I probably prefer alternatives that swing a little more, but well done nonetheless.

Hmmmm. What to say? Obviously vocals carry this song. Also, I can't believe that hair style was ever popular, but it was. Don't really know what else to say about this.

So possibly a bit cheesy disco-y song, but hey it's well done and pretty fun.

Babymetal - Akatsuki

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2372C5PJLM

Funnily enough, I was just talking to a friend at work about Babymetal not too long ago. I must admit this brings a smile to my face, and I like the energy. Metal is typically very techincally proficiently executed musically in my experience, but the vocals are often not so great. Here, though the vocals can be slightly annoying at times, they are aren't just grating and pretty good most of the time.

I'm a sucker for classic rock and you know it, and the fact that you found one that I hadn't actually heard is just a bonus. I really like the vibes this puts out - really cool almost mysterious sort of atmosphere. I'm assuming you plan on listening to this on LSD lmao.
