Stray kittens like I now have are better. They show up, eat a bunch of cat food, then want to go back out and don't show up again for 8 hours.

I slept in the kitchen with it for the first week (rough sleep) and now we just leave it in the crate overnight and while they miss us initially they do sleep.

Big problem is that it bites the **** out of us.

Yah I did the same. Its tough but apparently really good for the pup. I have been back a few times since....and since Covid when I let him sleep in my room for "heals" ... he just sleeps in our bed
