Given the number of players and relatively modest number of posts for a mishmash I thought it would be doable with only a couple hours a day of availability. It wasn’t.

Didn't have time to follow, but (I'm gleaning) GG wolves and thanks for the mod bsball and birdman. Very cool setup.

We (I) misplayed the item for Xander. He should have gotten the mana item. That means he can crowd.control 3 players 2/3 periods and autoattack for 1 the third period for a total of 7 damage and 6 roleblocks per 3 periods.

We got the extra damage item and he was doing a vanilla 2 damage per period.

3 damage towards the end. I built 2 infinity edges

fun times in mason chat with AMI. I actually thought we had a chance because his mason chat reads were so good. Tough spot for village after N2 though.

Good read. I wasn't bothering with my defense because I was saving up mana for calling night early and shooting for 2 every night. Also I was a ****ing tank. I was quite surprised with my death but as usual I celebrated, because it means I got my life back

Naw I jk'd AMI that night. Pretty sure Deli made the kill shot, but forgot to claim it when claiming the good things she did so we accidentally killed ladd who I had cleared before he claimed that n3 shot Deli didn't.

also it seems like this format would have a ton of replayability ie so many characters that were killed off early had pretty significant powers that could have played a larger role

i imagine doing this same game a year from now with some slight randomizations to the hero mix (so nobody could know for certain which powers/heros to look for) it could have very different outcomes

probably like 10% chance BUT if wolves had roleblocked me so i couldn't get any more peeks and farther prove my innocence, and i was still alive in late game then probably like 80% chance

This is true for every mishmash. But they are never repeated. We have no shortage of players that can jam together a good game design. The problem is more in the amount of players wishing to sign up and meet minimum participation requirements.

I have a designed game ready for 40 players but a) no possibility to run due to work and b) few confidence for it to fill

would it make sense if there was a website where mods could upload their prior game information ie all the roles+graphics/mini games/instructions so other people could download them to play?

Mafia Universe is sort of the aggregator of ww/mafia communities. So you could suggest this there. But if such site would exist there could always be some bad actors playing who are just going to find out what the role set is. And if the role set is supposed to be unknown, then the game is ruined.

I agree with you though. For some games I’ve definitely thought about how the game could have turned out competent different if some events played out differently. It might be interesting for the designers also to see how their game gets played another time with a completely different set of people. So it’s a great idea but does have some possibility of going wrong.

Also some mishmashes do get sequels where some mechanics and roles stay the same, but something new gets added. For instance there has been at least 10 Harry Potters. Probably because it was the first one to introduce ITAs here iirc.
