Initial thoughts:

2. Puzzled at first, then thought of stick up. Two words, though. Likely going with cave.

4. Not sure what GG means. I can't put the rest together. Drawn and iron could be sword. Drawn and call could be poker. Call and iron could be ? Maybe cold could fit with everything, but there are better clues. Probably will be a pass.
5. Mollusk is a shellfish. Can't see how ward fits in. Sea-ward?
6. A sidekick might ride a pony or a donkey. Maybe a follower or to follow. Clues are more noun leaning.
7. Rowing and kayak are Olympic boating sports. Could be boat or canoe. Maybe oar. Paddle was duped?
