If I would have taken 30 more seconds to think about it I would have gotten the word. "Illusion" or "hallucinate" plus "desert" and I definitely would have gotten it immediately. But those were 4 good clues and the miss is on me.

Oh crap just realized you said no research for this game at all I assumed same as codenames just no research for the guesser.

If it is no research at all, I researched for one of my clues - I can pm you which one if you want to auto exclude it or I can change to a word I 100% would not have needed to research for depending on how lenient we want to be. Sorry guys.

I would just leave it at that, imo... no research for guesser. same as codenames.... cluegiver can research - same as spymaster.
