Yeah; it’s been 21 hours and this is round 1; I pinged the person and hopefully we’ll hear back soon; i kinda hate to enforce the 24 hour rule on the first round but moving the game along is most important so I’ll get round 2 up today at some point, hopefully after hearing from the last player

oh man nothing really jumping out right away but will have to think.

how strict are we about hitting the correct word? I assume it has to be exact and not a variation of the same word or anything like that.

being round 1 and not knowing how weird the words could get makes this a lot tougher lol

I guess since each person will guess 3 times I could do 3 words at a time so we do 3 rounds each 24 hours instead of 1

Or yeah, even extend it and do 5 at a time so get in 25 rounds instead of 15 but in same time period

ok yeah that's what I expected.

sigh.. so there doesn't seem to be a solid word unless I am missing something. I am trying to see if it is +EV to guess here or if I should just pass.

I doubt Euthanize is a word used in this game lol? You "put down" a pet but that is two words - don't think it is really called anything else?

Pet Rock is a thing and a Burial Stone is a thing? But I can think of 1000s of better clues for Rock instead of Burial.

Bone/Bones? Like for a dog? seems thin too

Just going to think a little longer since Burial seems like a very specifically chosen word.

when I think Burial: Tomb, Death, Ground, Grave, Ancient...just can't really think of an animal connection for either the noun or verb Animal/Pet connection.

you dig a grave and dogs dig holes but again just seems like too far of a stretch on both sides.

Veterinarian connection? don't really see burial being optimal there..

Common pets or things you pet: dog, cat, hamster, bird, fish

So we got hit with the first tough de-dupe

One submission was grave and another graveyard.

Since same base word, they get de-duplicated leaving you with pet and burial which is tough.

I did Pet to help you get cemetary over graveyard hoping that the other words would lead you to graveyard/Cemetary and you’d have to decide between those two terms

So anything with "grave" in it was going to be removed? graveyard and gravestone would cancel each other out as well i assume?

Yeah still waiting irtm

I’m going to send out 4 more clues today to everyone and you 3 will guess on those 4 as well so we can knock out 5 rounds/day. Hopefully the one person gets us those with this extra time, otherwise we’ll get a replacement.

Then each day I’ll send 5 more out so we’ll end up doing 25 rounds in 5 days (6 since just now starting this cadence)
