I can describe for Tempus.. a little confused how/why substitutions happened the way they did... I was very much looking forward to painting and am kinda sad about how this went..

we should be able to find describers no problem. and if for some reason we can't, i could ask some irl friends to do it. and if that doesn't work for whatever reason i'd happily give up my paint slot to uglyd. it's not biggie at all for me to give it up.

you should probably stay as a painter

Ok, sorry, my misunderstanding.

Situation with Aldo getting in for irtm: I don't remember exactly how this went, but I advertised on the MU server that I needed a sub. Then I remembered that you had irtm's original spot (which he required bc his wife was about to give birth) and was about to PM you when Aldo offered, so I gave it to him. The Mantichora/toedder situation was more straightforward, bc I don't usually move people unless they ask me to

I guarantee that you will get to paint. Describers are trivially easy to find. The reason there are currently two free describer slots (one now after carolinacoder has offered) is that I see no need to aggressively hunt for describes too early. When the time comes, the describer slot that precedes yours will be filled.
