I haven't posted visions yet. Just did for Group 2 if you want to see what the cards look like.

I'm working on these now so hopefully will post your visions in the next 30 mins

You are now free to discuss and debate in the thread

Post #6 has the 8 characters in play this game; each of you is a psychic connecting to one of those 6 murdered characters. The vision cards I've given you will help you determine which of the 6 you are.

If you are confident pwns is something he guessed, you can say place correct token on pwns' choice. If you are confident pwns' is not something he guessed, you can say place incorrect token on pwns' choice. If you use the token properly, you'll move up one on the clairvoyant counter, which is used for the final round.

I think the way I posted the images, you should be able to click on them to zoom in and around in browser or tapatalk, desktop or mobile so that you can see everything clearly.

I'm keeping a Ghost Diary so after the game I'll post what I was thinking each hour. It should be interesting.

reminder: you each have 6 clairvoyant tokens so make sure you use them all during the game, but do so wisely

to clarify, eyebooger and AMI have two vision cards after their names

is only the first one the clue for them?

Nun
General
Archaeologist
Postman
Governess
Watchmaker
Bagpiper
Barber

I can give multiple cards to the same person (up to 7 I guess).

Any cards under your name are yours, even if more than 1.

and wait, we can discuss and collaborate, ok

can the clues be tied to specific things in the card that don't directly relate to the profession -- e.g., the red yarn in the picture of the Governess?

Anything in the card or name of card is fair game.

The vision can be for something about the overall card or its color or its scenery or specific items or whatever. It’s pretty interpretive.

Also, I’ve never been the ghost and only played once years ago so I may well suck at this.

i'm not going to be up for too much longer because i have the plague and whatever

but i think i know mark's, mine, and D1iab's so far; those seem reeeeeasonably straightforward?

ah, gotcha

it's a little tougher online where you can't easily refer to the vision cards and the character cards visually at the same time

but that is good to know

I’d say go ahead and say what you think yours is (don’t bold yet if not certain) but maybe give people time to discuss their own first, but we’ll see how it best flows as we play

sorry to keep spamming, but it seems like there's some minor incentive not to be straightforward during the discussion, since if someone makes a particular guess for theirs that you don't think is right, you can use a clairvoyant token and bet that they're incorrect

but i would like to approach this in good faith, at least for the first hour, so i'm going to just say what i'm thinking without any cunning or subterfuge

spoiler I guess if you don't want to see my thoughts before forming your own:

Spoiler:
mark seems lockish to be the Barber and D1iab is clearly the Archaeologist. I feel like I'm probably the General? The flags and vague battlefield-ness in AMI's first clue say General to me too, but I don't know how that fits with his second clue, and I don't see a different character that works nearly as well with my picture, but I'll think on it

pwns maybe the Governess with the yarn connection?

eyebooger maybe the Nun? idk

AMI the Postman for the Eiffel Tower being the face of a stamp and a house being where the Postman delivers?

this is hard

(I assume there's no editing posts)

going to sleep now, will see what people say tomorrow

We only win if all 6 of you get your 3 cards within 7 turns and then y’all figure out the final grouping in the last phase.

So I think helping each other is probably the default rather than hoping to bet against each other.

It’s a fully cooperative game; all 7 of us on same team

And editing posts seems fine if needed

I'm getting it all setup in a Google sheet to make it easier, so we'll probably start tomorrow
Nich, keep me in mind as a sub in game one or two if someone drops out. In the meantime I'll lurk and try to figure out what is going on..

My initial thoughts:

Mark - barber (sharp objects)
Gad - bagpiper (loch ness monster)
Me - archaeologist (Indy)
Eb - nun (death vibes)
Pwns - watchmaker (Dali-esque...melting clocks)
AMI - postman (postcard+house)

First thoughts without looking at others yet:

Spoiler:
Mark: Barber or General (weapons/sharp objects)
Gad: Bagpiper (for creature) or General (for Scottish flag/Loch Ness connection)
D1iab: Archaeologist (Indiana Jones vibes)
Me: Nun (creepy/spooky)
Pwns: No idea
AMI: Postman (traveling/delivery to house)

Most confident in AMI, then D1iab. Not really confident on others and have no idea on pwns.

Tried to include all answers with non-zero probabilities of being correct, some of them are leaps. I highlighter the most likely ones.

Spoiler:
mark
tools or sharp / sickle, whip (potentially weapons) / saw
general / archeologist / watchmaker / barber
barber - saw used for cutting -> cutting hair, sharp tool scissors / saw / sickle
general - sharp sword, sickle potentially a weapon
archelogist and watchmaker - only a thin connection so would rule out

gadarene
knight riding a sea monster / water lilies / mermaids
nun / general / bagpiper
nun - make belief god/monsters/mermaid - this might be a bad joke
general - scottish flag, knight relates to armies and generals
bagpiper scottish connection for the Lock Ness monster

d1abolical
knight chasing a man in a hallway ( paintings / demonic dogs
nun / general / archaelogist
nun - really thin connection to demonic dogs
general - thin connection to the knight
archaeologist - Indiana Jones

eyebooger
field with a pattern, lake? night sky with a moon in the reflection, scarecrow in another field also night
nun / postman / governess / watchmaker
nun - do you usually pray at night before bed, maybe? darkness, black outfit, black beads, the pattern in the picture somehow reminds me of the pattern in the book, possibly a leap
postman - also dark outfit, post sometimes delivered during night / early morning
governess - black outfit
watchmaker - time (also the watch might be pointing at 1.15 AM?)

pwns
bird creature on walking poles, wings, buttons with thread running through them and all over the picture, building
nun / archaeologist / governess
nun - wings, angels
archaeologist - exotic location, maybe the bird creature has some sort of reference to Egyptian gods, like Horus or Thoth
governess - yarn

me
Eiffel tower - calm atmosphere, sunrise or sunset, bees, another pic, hobbit house, hammock on top of the hobbit house
general / postman
general - French flag on the medal
postman - travel connected to sending post cards and house where post is delivered. The inclusion of the second image makes me think this one is a lock.

Spoiler:
I'd probably go:
barber
general
archaeologist
watchmaker or nun
governess (archaeologist is my strongest for this, but if Indiana Jones is a lock then governess)
postman

Are these all the clues we get for identity?
Here are my first thoughts:

Mark:
Watchmaker because of the tools
Archaeologist: bullwhip calls back to Indiana Jones

Gad:
Bagpiper: loch ness/scotland connection as mentioned
General: guy wearing armor and a crown

Diab:
Archaeologist: guy running with treasure is reminiscent of Indiana Jones again
Barber: guy with sword behind running man could be trying to cut that spiky hair

Eye:
nun: scarecrow looks to be crucified, amount of people in first pic=none, also the building in the first pic is vaguely similar to the church in the nun card
postman: scarecrow is a man on a post
governess: key on card and in first pic

Pwns:
governess: yarn (strong lean to this)
watchmaker: daliesque as mentioned above

MRI:
general: flags in first pic
governess: house pic, eiffel tower=governess is a euro thing

I don't like the yarn connection to pwns at all.

If that was it, why not give him the house picture too (which has a hammock made of yarn/string)?
