I am getting to watch some odd movies that I wouldn't normally bother with due to this game.
Tonight I checked out the handywork of my 3rd round pick: Carl Krusada. The movie I got his name from was Riders Of The Sage (1939). I realize that 5 minutes are missing and the film quality of this print is not the greatest but..........this is dreadful.
It has a silent movie vibe to it. They use title cards to explain the backstory. Then during the action scenes they have this orchestral music playing that doesn't fit the action at all. I guess they couldn't figure what the action scenes should sound like so they just grabbed the first record they could find and played it over top of the scenes.
Didn't see any riders of the sage either.
