SWINDLESTONES

Synopsis

The 4 players are divided into pairs, they play until a winner is declared, then the winners play against each other.
Each player starts the game with 4 4-sided dice. At the beginning of the game, the first player to start is randed.
I will roll the dice to each player and send them their rolls in private.

Rules

Players will take turns and declare that there are at least a certain amount of dice that rolled one specific number between them.
For example, a player rolls 1, 3, 4, 3 and believing that it is likely their opponent has at least another die that rolled 3, (s)he may declare: "Three threes".
The other player may continue the game by declaring increasingly bigger numbers. For example, they may declare "Four Threes" or "Two Fours".
If they do not wish to do so, they will have to call, and the dice will be revealed.
If the caller was wrong, (s)he will lose a die. Otherwise, the declarer will lose a die.
Whoever lost a die during the previous round will start the next one.
The game is over when a player lost all his/her dies.
Players need to be quick to make their decisions, or they will be prodded

so even just two of a higher number is better than three+ of any lower number?

but just one of a number can't count as a guess?

It can, actually.

If a player starts with "One 2", you may bet "One 3" or One 4", still betting one number.

hm ok so

about when the reveal happens

player A has just declared a position

player B "calls", which means you reveal, right?

it says if the caller is wrong, they lose a point. what are they wrong about? like if their previous declaration was wrong? or when they call, they are accusing player A, the most recent declarer, of being wrong?

in other words, if you don't want to raise things further, you call. and then what happens? if the previous declaration made from the other player was wrong, they lose a point, but if it was right... you lose a point?

and do you have to be exactly right, or just "at least" right, i.e. if you said four 3s, and there's five 3s, are you still good?
