Hello POG!

This game is inspired by a segment of the Spotlight game on NTN trivia.

On day 1 of the game (today) I will post a series of clues. Send me an unnumbered, unspaced list of your best guess as to what year the event(s) took place. You will receive points based on how close you are to the correct year. I will post the scoring below.

On day 2, I will post additional information to help you narrow down the year. You can choose to resubmit new guesses for any or all or the questions, or choose to keep your day 1 answers. However, if you resubmit on day 2 your answers will be subject to the day 2 scoring. You will receive day 2 scoring for only those answers that you resubmit

On the third and last day I will post additional information. Again, you can choose to resubmit at the day 3 scoring.

Clues and scoring coming in my next posts

NO RESEARCH

So, it's better to keep a guess that is 2 years off than to resubmit the correct year. Seems odd, but I like it.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm going for. In theory, the clues will get easier as we go along.

I'm open to tweaking the scoring a bit. It doesn't really need to get locked in until round 2 anyway.

These first clues are intended to be pretty hard. I'm sure I would have been pretty far off on several of these.

I changed up the scoring. It may or may not be better than the original.

Use this scoring when deciding if you want to resubmit.

If you want to resubmit, please send me a new 10 line unnumbered, unspaced PM with any answers you want to change. Put "Pass" in place of any you want to keep. It might look something like this:

pass
pass
2343
pass
2422

etc, etc.

If I don't get a round 2 PM by the time the round 3 clues go up, I'll assume you are keeping your answers. You can still change round 3 if you want.
