BiteMeFish was giving out the big points here and boy is there a shock!

"I'll admit that there were a few names I hoped to see get drafted here that didn't. No John Wayne Gacy? Who doesn't love a killer clown that's not from outer space? No Night Stalker, no Son of Sam, no BTK? Any killer who can disappear for 17 years is pretty impressive."

"That said, there were some excellent picks, so in a particular order, here are my rankings":

Spoiler:
12. Obama Ok, I get it, let's get political. But as was mentioned, then you've got Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin...that isn't how this works.

Spoiler:
11. John Lynch What's interesting to me about him is that he seemed to kill for convenience. Oh, I want your cattle, I'd better brain you with a tomahawk. But not exactly scary. Plus, he's Australia's most prolific with 10 victims? Lolstralia.

Spoiler:
10. Tsutomo Miyazaki Only four victims. That said, he did **** them after killing them and eat parts of some of his victims. That's disgusting.

Spoiler:
9. Jack the Ripper Definitely legendary, and it must have been scary to be a prostitute in London that year, but there's also evidence that some of the hype may have been invented to sell newspapers.

Spoiler:
8. Zodiac One of my personal favorites, and the subject of one of the best movies on the topic. Also, still unsolved, which is pretty creepy. But there were some really scary and prolific people drafted, which keeps Zodiac here.

Spoiler:
7. Green River Strangler Gary Ridgway was convicted of strangling 49 prostitutes and runaways, often returning to have sex with the bodies. He's claimed 71 victims. What makes you want to **** that many dead women?

Spoiler:
6. Harold Shipman British doc who killed over 200 of his patients, mostly elderly women. Why? One theory is that he became addicted to killing. WTF?

Spoiler:
5. Jeffrey Dahmer A necrophiliac and cannibal who kept his victims' skulls as masturbatory aids. I think that's enough said.

Spoiler:
4. Ted Bundy He confessed to 30, but there may actually have been over 100 victims. He kept 12 heads hanging in his house as trophies. He also had the first nationally televised trial, which ups his significance and notoriety to the general public. À propos of nothing, I recall hearing interviews with James Dobson, of whom my mom was a huge fan when I was growing up, talking about how Bundy had become a Christian before his execution and would be in heaven. Lol.

Spoiler:
3. Luis Garavito 138 victims, children and teens, with a potential of over 300, as he keeps confessing to more? Say it ain't so.

Spoiler:
2. Pedro Lopez While Garavito may have a small edge in total victims, Lopez gets the 2 spot for a couple reasons. First, he's multinational, with victims known in Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. Second, he's in the wind. There are rumors he's locked up but no confirmation, as he was let out for good behavior and (no idiot, this one) skipped town
.

Spoiler:
1. Ed mother****in' Gein Not the most prolific killer ever, with only 11 victims. But this guy was just messed up and evil. His mother taught him to fear women and sex. So he kills women, then uses their body parts to make clothing, furniture, and utensils. And, oh yeah. He saved parts to remake the body of dear departed Mommy. No wonder so many horror movies have referenced his work. Dude was stone cold crazy.

Next judge is D1iab:

Spoiler:
12. Obama
11. Ed Gein
10. John Lynch
9. Harold Shipman
8. Pedro López
7. Tsutomo Miyazaki
6. Luis Garavito
5. Zodiac
4. Jack the Ripper
3. Gary Ridgway
2. Jeffrey Dahmer
1. Ted Bundy

I want to rank Gein higher because he’s a lot more interesting than some of these others, but he’s not even technically a serial killer.

And I can’t believe some of the ones that were left on the table – Gacy, Rader, Ramirez, Berkowitz, Chikatilo, etc. Number of victims isn’t really what makes serial killers interesting imo.

iraisetoomuch using a innovative judging systems again:

"A little bit of research when into this. But some ‘name recognition’, and random.org also."

Spoiler:
1. Pedro Lopez – Honors for top 3 recorded kills, and he didn’t need to use his job or their age to help him out.
2. Luis Garavito – Top 5 confirmed kills (according to Wikipedia) but he was killing kids. Easier and less ‘badass’ from a Serial Killer perspective. But still managed to kill a lot of people.
3. Harold Shipman – This man killed 200+ people but he used his job to do it. This makes it slightly easier and so he loses points. Still a strong count though.
4. Ted Bundy – Points for charisma and escaping from jail twice. And a good kill count to boot.
5. Gary Ridgeway – High kill count gets benefit, but removing prostitutes from the economy? Why?!
6. Dahmer – Loses points for low kill count, but gains points for saving grocery money by eating his people after he killed them.
7. Ed Gein – Only killed a few people? But used them to make furniture so that’s kinda cool (in a sick twisted sort of way).
8. Zodiac killer – Seems pretty average as far as serial killers go.
9. John Lynch -
10. Jack the Ripper – Seems to only have killed 6 people. Cool name, not a godo kill count.
11. Miyazaki – Wiki only claims 4 confirmed kills. I award you no points.
12. Obama – Silly Filthy. Seems like an easy placement.

eleanor60 pulls out his evilometer for his rankings:

"Okay – ranking this based on Evil and Kill count"

Spoiler:
1) Jeffrey Dahmer – I mean a sexually motivated torturous killer – dismembered 17 men and boys and was part cannibal!
2) Zodiac Killer – Evil taunting SOB
3) Ted Bundy – In his words “the most cold-hearted son of a bic** you’ll ever meet” – I’d say almost, definitely top 3
4) Tsutomo Miyazaki – Human Dracula is a lock for top 5 with the blood drinking
5) Harold Shipman – One of the most notorious and prolific. 250+ victims, abused his position, and hung himself
6) Luis Garavito – He just edges Jack the Ripper for me
7) Pedro Lopez – he’s moved a lot in my list, but 110 confirmed kills and 300 claimed, gotta like him (in this category)
8) Jack the ripper – He’s cool and all, but not top 5
9) The Green River Killer – I mean Ted Bundy helped catch him, he’s alright
10) Ed Gein – Meets the gory aspect, but isn’t notorious enough for me
11) John Lynch – Meh
12) Obama – Doesn’t count for me

This one was a silly question. I should have asked which ones would be top scoring picks.

Beer did very well all round.

Buried alive was top ranked by the person who drafted it, but did poorly otherwise. But no last place.

Dr Seuss was definitely polarizing with 1st, 1st, 3rd, 10th and 11th, but no last.

Poor old Jack had no firsts or lasts, I would have had him top of my list. I've always had a fascination with him.

Elton got 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 8th and 10th, so decent pick.

CAH was ranked last by everyone, worst possible pick for polarization.

Yeah, I definitely made some optimization mistakes, & some miscalculations, but at least I crushed one of the mini-games.

Thx for running spurs, would play again.

G'job D1iab/spurs/eb.

Thanks, Spurs and the Gang. This was a lot of fun, again. Maybe 13 was a bit many. If we do it again (and I hope we do), I'll sit so some new people can play, if we get a lot.

Congrats, D1iab, spurs, and eb. I finished in the middle third, which is what I expected, so good on me.

Also, if you're at all interested in board games, check out some of the stuff I posted before the rankings. We're in a golden age of board games right now. So many great games released in the past 15 years or so.

Puerto Rico would have been my pick. Simple well designed game that actually works real well for 3 people. I will die on my hill that Dominion is best head to head. And I love Dominion. Also 7 wonders is fantastic, and probably best suited for 3 players. That being said the head to head version they released later is stellar.

I considered two of my favourite keyboardists for submission. How might they have fared: Jimmy Destri and Benny Andersson? Both are brilliant writers as well as players.

I do love Genesis, and Banks was my pick from about round 4 onward, but I sure wasn’t expecting him to be at the top.
