Best movie with an IMDb rating of 6.5 or Lower

If I've seen the movie I'll rank it based on that, if not I'll try to seek it out but might have to settle for watching the trailer if I can't easily source it or don't find the time.

Oh, this is going very slow.
Someone once said people tend to wait until the last minute to enter.
Maybe set a deadline for entries?

Best Disney/Pixar animated feature

I'll accept pre-Disney acquisition Pixar films as well.

so not Disney or Pixar but one that is either Pixar or Disney/Pixar (like Inside Out 2 coming out next year so ineligible)? Made by Pixar studios, distributed by Disney?

but not plain Disney ones like Bambi?

Any Disney OR Pixar animated feature. Bambi good, Inside Out 2 good if the draft takes long enough, Toy Story good.

An Oscar nominee for Best Original Screenplay that did not win from the last 10 years

I'll be judging it based on how much I liked it compared to the winner of that particular year.

Looking at the list, I've seen all of the winners and all but 3 of the losers. It looks like the 3 I haven't seen are all streaming somewhere, so I'll give them a watch if one or more of those get drafted.

Best Heist Movie

A heist (or heists) should be a big part of the movie, not just the opening scene like Dark Knight or Quick Change

I think I need a bit of clarification on this one.

If people thought a movie from X years ago was great when it was released, but now everyone thinks it's crap, is that what we're looking for?

kind of like how when you sometimes watch an old sitcom you used to enjoy and now it just feels stupid and dated

i loved murphy brown reruns as a kid - watched some again a year or two ago and thought it was terrible

so we'd be picking from a pool of movies which were considered substantially better in their own time than they are today

i guess since that could be somewhat difficult we could broaden the scope to best movie that is no longer part of the cultural zeitgeist

ie you could not say back to the future because that's still big and big cultural reference, same with ghostbusters etc - would really need to be something that was big in its era and now is basically gone

and obviously if this is a stupid cat please let me know and i can choose another

No I don't think this is a stupid idea.

So basically if it's "difference between how it was perceived when it was released vs how it is perceived now", I like that category a lot. (I think I'm understanding this correctly)
