best disney movie: homeward bound

the dogs trying to get home!!! not the best movie ever, but i loved it at the time. idk how well it holds up. i don't like disney/pixar movies

A guilty pleasure, fun movie.

It’s not trying to be high brow or anything it’s not. Just a fun movie about a group of friends playing tag their entire lives.

Best Heist Film Bottle Rocket

this film launched the career of three of the most impactful people in hollywood in our generation

co written by owen wilson and wes anderson and directed by wes anderson and also starring owen's brother luke

it's notably different from a traditional wes anderson film as he was still in the midst of finding his style and also worked as a duo

it's an amazing take on the heist genre where it's a comedy yet still deep and meaningful and without relying upon slapstick nonsense

Dunno who wanted fantasy movies but when I made my selection I just checked IMDB. If they say the genre is fantasy then it is. Seems the easiest way to determine the genre.

Best Opening Scene has got to be The Nightmare Before Christmas

It starts with a bit of preamble about where holidays come from and then gets right into it with "This is Halloween".

It's a great scene because it's engaging as a stand alone scene with great lyrics, music and animation. So much animation packed into a song. But it's also a really hardworking scene as it deals with character introductions, scene setting and plot development.

It might not be an old man crying at a grave but it's certainly something.
