and proceeds to finish one drink after another until he is well beyond being simply drunk. While engaged in a particularly lively conversation he stands up to make a point and suddenly vomits all over himself.

The man looks at the bartender in despair and exclaims, "Oh no! I am so dead!"

"Why's that, Mac?" asks the bartender.

The drunk explains, "When I get home I'm gonna wake up my wife and she is gonna see my shirt and know what I've done to myself and she'll kill me!"

The bartender says, "We can fix this. Do you have ten bucks in your pocket?"

The drunk reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ten dollar bill.

"Okay, here's what you do. Put the ten dollars in your shirt pocket. Then when you get home if your wife sees you just tell her that you stopped at the bar to have just one drink and some other drunk guy puked all over you. And he gave you ten bucks to pay for the dry cleaning."

The drunk guy slowly understands and begins to smile and then laugh. "You know, that just might work," he slurs. "Now how about another drink?"

The drunk polishes off a few more cocktails and then stumbles home. Once home, he makes a clatter coming into the house and, sure enough, his wife emerges out of bed with an angry scowl on her face. "What did you do????" she accuses her husband, the drunk.

"Now honey," the drunk explains, "it isn't what you think. I only had one drink and some drunk guy threw up all over my shirt. And he gave me ten dollars to pay for the dry cleaning." He reaches into his shirt pocket and hands the money to his wife.

The wife looks at it and then says to her husband, "But this is a twenty dollar bill."
