this just reads fake to me... It's still super early in the game, so it doesn't read GENUINE to me that Beck would be worried about village in-fighting. And the wording of it in itself seems... Dunno the English word for it, but it doesn't flow well.

You're forgetting the best part.

Only I know the number of people (if any) who invested in me

It makes me sort of a pain in the ass for wolves. Do they waste resources killing someone who may not have any garnets or even investors?

If they leave me alive do I (and maybe investors) run away with garnets?
