• As long as the game is ongoing, you may talk about the game only inside the game thread, unless your PM says otherwise
• You may post in the game thread only when it is DAY
• You may post only when you are alive
• You may not edit or delete posts in the game thread for any reason at any time
• You may not post screenshots of, or directly quote your role PM, seer peeks, or any other game-related communication that originated outside of the game thread
• You may not discuss anything that suggests what the moderator should or should not do in any given situation, including modkills, player substitutions, etc.
• You are expected to participate
• You are expected to be familiar with the rules, and you are expected to abide by them even if you think they are incorrect
• You are expected to behave civilly

Werewolf is a game about lying and catching people lying. It's an adversarial game and arguments between players are normal and expected. Passion and Intensity are fine but excessively personal attacks or insults are not. Even in a werewolf game you must respect the forum rules about civility. Failure to do so may cause you to be infracted or temp banned, and repeated problems may get you perma-banned.

Werewolf is also a community and team-based game. While there are many styles and strategies and reasons for playing and you may choose your own, you are expected to be respectful of the time and energy others put in as players and as moderators. You are expected to play to win. Intentionally sabotaging your team, or choosing strategies with the sole purpose of trolling other players in the game is not allowed.

Voting

Each day, each player is allowed (and encouraged) to vote to lynch a player. To do so, type the name of the player in bold. You may abbreviate the name of the player, provided it is clear to other players (and the VOTE COUNTER) whom you mean.

You may remove your vote by posting "unvote". You may change your vote simply by voting the new player; you do not need to unvote before voting again.

At the given time for lynch, the player with the most votes is lynched, and his role revealed in the thread. If two or more players are tied for the most votes, one of the tied players is chosen randomly by the moderator.

There is no Majority Lynch. There is no Must Lynch.

Day and Night Times

All times given are server time, which is also Eastern Standard Time.

Start of Day: During the week, Day will start around 7:00 AM. On the weekend, Day will usually start around 9:00 AM.

End of Day: Day lasts until 9:00 PM . Posting at 9:00 PM is acceptable, and votes with that time stamp will be counted. Posting after that, even just a minute after, is not acceptable, even if I have not yet declared it night by posting "It is night." Do not post in the thread at any time, for any reason, between the end of the day and the opening of the thread the next morning.

Night Actions

All night actions are due by 2:00 AM. Any deaths will be announced when day starts.

Wolf Chat

Wolves may communicate with each other by any means they desire during wolf chat. Wolves have 24 hour chat starting with the receipt of their Role PMs. You must add me (the moderator) to any and all chats.

Any questions regarding the rules should be submitted to the moderator (South Park Mod) by PM ONLY.

Activity Expectation

I expect all players to play to their win condition. If you for some reason cannot continue, please PM me and I will arrange for a replacement (if possible).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

ON CLAIMING – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

THERE ARE NO CLAIMING RESTRICTIONS in this game: you may freely claim your role, your character name, and your abilities. Things you cannot do when claiming, under pain of modkill and worse, are post a screenshot of your PM quote your PM in the thread, or claim prizes the mod has specifically said cannot be claimed.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Just because you CAN claim something, doesn’t mean that you should. In fact, it's a terrible idea and you are cautioned that appropriate steps have been taken to mitigate this game become a claimfest. Claiming a role, a game effect, or a character name should be considered extremely hazardous to your health, not beneficial to you in terms of winning the game, and probably not something that’s going to clear you anyway. As moderators, we strongly recommend that you “Just Play Werewolf” and don’t rely on claims to clear anyone.

POSTING REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Players must post at least five teams each day, by 1 hour before EOD, or they will be subbed, or much more likely given the signups fading the last few days, modkilled. Just the way it is.

EOD and SOD: End of day is at 9:00 PM. Posts and votes at 9:00 are good; 9:01 is bad. 9:02 will get you modkilled so don’t do that. There will be a 10-15 minute correction period after 9:00; if you see any errors in the vote count please notify the mods during this time. Start of day will be at approximately 7:00-7:30 AM. NAs are due at 5:00 AM.

ITAs: Each day, starting D2 and lasting until the mods say so, there will be two regularly scheduled ITA sessions. This will take place at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM and will last one hour. Shots at 6:59 are GOOD, shots at 7:00 are BAD. We will provide reminders ahead of time, but you don’t need to wait for us to formally open ITAs at 6:00:00. Additional ITA sessions may happen and will be announced as far in advance as possible; you may only fire one shot per day unless your role says otherwise upon pain of discipline.

ITA FORMAT: Please start your ITA with ##, and put it in bold red text. After that, as long as it’s completely clear who you’re shooting, it can say anything you want.

If you take a shot but screw up formatting, you will not be punished, but if you want to shoot, you must reformat your shot and shoot at the same target.

BOLD RED TEXT: Bold Red Text is ONLY to be used for in game actions. Please don’t use it for anything else. We’ll look at violations on a case by case basis. Bolding a couple words for emphasis is probably not an issue; simulating a game action is probably gonna get you in trouble.

DEAD POSTS: Please, don’t. If you absolutely must, make absolutely sure that it contains absolutely no content. Violations will be monitored and punished on a case by case basis.

DAY ACTIONS: There may or may not be day actions which can happen in this game. Players with day actions should take heed of the following:

1) ALL DAY ACTIONS must be submitted no later than 1 hour prior to EOD, or be forfeited.
2) MOST DAY ACTIONS SHOULD THEY EXIST WILL NOT BE PROCESSED BEFORE NOON. Players are welcome to submit actions before noon, but they will not be processed before then. All actions submitted before noon will be processed simultaneously as soon after noon as possible.


NIGHT ACTIONS: The deadline for night actions is 5:00 AM. There are some N0 actions. Unless specified in your role PM, they will not be randed.

VOTE MANIPULATION: Some roles may have abilities which grant more or less than one vote in a given game day or have other vote-altering effects. In fact, you can probably count on it. All such abilities will cease to function for any lynch for which there are 10 or fewer players left in the game.

DVC: There will be a DVC for this game. If you want in after you die, contact the moderators via PM with your Skype handle and we’ll figure it out. If you are dead, please do not communicate outside DVC with other dead players until the game is over.
