I know some ppl say 36/12 games are town*sided however I feel it gives the opportunity for players with all timezones a shot at getting good thread time.. so I'd definitely be in for those type of games too

I was railing this game, it was mostly fun to watch

I mostly wanted to chime in on the whole seer/seer cover thing because it’s something I’ve had pretty strong feelings about forever, but due to certain meta game elements never wanted to fully share when I was playing.

The key to leaving decent seer cover is self awareness, and then applying it back in a circular fashion. Understand how you generally play as a villager and try to play almost exactly like that if you are ever seer. Then, when you are a villager, simply play the game as normal but be very conscious about word choice - if you’re leaving a fake peek make an unqualified statement about someone’s role and make that the only unqualified statement you make. It’s subtle enough wolves (and villagers) will probably miss it real time but it should be identifiable once you are killed.

Lastly since you are a villager much more than a seer you should choose your peeks as seer to match your village game not the other way around. The key is live peeks, so you should ideally peek people like me (almost never voted off as a villager, not nightkilled like a superstar early by wolf teams, readable but not so easy to read I always hard clear myself, capable of surviving to endgame as a wolf at times).

The names of who fits that mold change over time, but the concept doesn’t. Frankly I was always stunned that nobody ever seemed to figure out that during most of my time playing I was probably the best or one of the best seer peeks possible yet I almost never actually got peeked.

I think the reason a lot of people are bad at leaving seer cover is that they think they are supposed to play a different game as a seer than as a villager, and then contort themselves into trying to “look” like a seer when they are a villager. This is bad seer play and bad villager play both

This, plus the fact I had just watched nichp wolf as the mod and felt like I could reasonably clear him was why I tried to "peek" him. But I either overplayed it or the wolves insta-ruled me out when I didn't claim as I got so close to being lynched.

I think there is a lot of results-orientedness going on about the fake seer play in this game. Should it have been the case that three different people were all peeking Toedder? Perhaps spreading it out a little bit better would have been wiser. We just got unlucky that he was a wolf though.

i've never been a fan of that style of seer cover for that exact reason though

people don't really think about who they would/should actually peek, it always has to be a villager, you're stuck justifying potentially shitty reads, etc., and when you pick a wolf, you're doing the opposite of providing cover

When I thought about f3, nich and vr both said they would vote me over anyone else and that they had each other as clearest. Ok so obviously killing you and going to f3 with both of them is suicide. But if I kill either of them to take you to f3, all they have to do is point out that wolf vr never kills nich or vice versa and I'm pretty sure you would pull the trigger on me.

I thought things looked pretty good when nich was saying I was top of his village but once he reassessed that read and swapped me with vr, I had no more outs.

I considered the hail mary play of killing you and then playing the angle of wolf me would obv never choose that f3 but in my experience that angle never works.

it was a mix of a few things - as sun said our seer POE was pretty narrow given all of the toedder peeks and after N2 you kept mentioning w/w wagons so I figured there was a non-zero chance of you having a wolf peek on me.

took me some balls to come up with the claim and figure out which peeks made sense but it was an adrenaline rush the whole time
