It is nice to see that VR lurks these forums hard without participating elsewhere though, except now everyone is supposed to care really hard that she posted, because she posted.

Not sure if this will come up as a mobile link or not.

Also how come the women dont get mad when the guys agree with them? Shouldnt the men agreeing with you also not understand how you feel also despite it being thr same thoughts?

Well to be fair I was somewhat homeless for a little while so fantasy hasn't been on my mind.

Sorry anyways should have informed people on what's been going on

Still supporting what the women want in the thread, have seen nothing to change my mind.

I'm up to vs. you week 19, Feb 20th. Can you hold off on having a home until after that week?

I don't think there is anything wrong with that, though. I lurked POG for several months before starting to post.

She used to run several great games back in the heyday. She was a great contributor, was always polite to people; I'd really like for her to start posting again.

Of course, someone not liking a game and thinking it is bad does not strike me as a great reason for banning it.
I am aware she is not the only one who thinks that, but that is apparently one of the reasons she is not posting anymore, which cannot be said about others.

I'm back, but I'm scared to even look at my team's current standing.

VR hasn't made any contribution to the forum for years, waiting for this moment when Ms POG was challenged.

Why the **** is Cotton Hill posting in a thread about a thread specific only to a forum he has never posted in? Why the **** should we care what he thinks? This isn't a derision on him personally, I am asking why his posts should even be here, and this goes for anybody else who isn't an active POG member piping in on this issue.
LOL

I just assumed he played werewolf or some other game i don't play

This is how the alt-right operates on the Internet (don't know if Cotton Hill considers himself an alt-righter, just speaking generally). When someone sees a thread where feminism is happening, they alert their alt-right brigade buddies to come out of nowhere and help flood the thread with their inanity

When you start to generalize people and label their opinion before you even correctly comprehend what was said, you will continue down a road of ignorance and hate. Congratulations on being worse than these "alt-right" people you are complaining about.

The point is not solely one of objectification. We all objectify, it is a part of fantasy life and it is also a big part of human culture. But, instead, I think we ought to ban it because it is objectification with a particularly bad context.
The context is a privately owned public forum for socialising. The broader goal of 2+2 is to have welcoming, broadly-based community centred loosely around poker. This sub-forum, Puzzles and Games - is the direct context wherein we get to discuss and participate in games. It seems to me that by creating a Miss POG thread we are specifically turning objectification into a goal of socializing and source of amusement. Now, of course, those that want a ban do not expect that people's thoughts and fantasies are not going to make comparative judgements. Nor, that this is not an ordinary passtime of judging the beauty of the opposite sex ought not to be banned or condemned. Rather, we are saying that it is offense for some particularly within this context and, given it is only one thread and a not very important one to the community, that we ought to listen to those who object to its existence.
Finally, given that the overall goal of 2+2 and the sub-forum itself is to be inclusive and outward looking, then I think we ought to be aware of people who feel that certain games are offensive and excluding. Further to this point, given that the forum suffers from a lack of women, we ought to be particularly responsive to their voices on this matter.

For those of you who feel strongly otherwise, I would like to think that everyone in this thread acknowledges that you will have sacrificed something if and when the thread is taken down. And , we appreciate that setback and that you ought to feel that your voices have been heard by those in the other camp.

Im honestly more triggered by people being called alt right for not agreeing with feminism than anything else. Quit calling people neo nazis for posts that aren't even hateful. Alt right is neo nazis so just stop.

I dont agree with feminism since most tend to be hypocrites.

Also there was a pogger who used to play ww a lot, modded a lot and was really awesome. This person told me they were considering getting into doing private cam shows with their partner(s) (the person is poly). This person is a highly regarded engineer in one of the largest cities in the world. According to vr he has no skills if he goes into that type of work or project.

Also one thing to consider is Kruze's dog would've won in a landslide. Then we could've posted pics of his dog in spoilers where you think the pic is something else and it becomes a meme. I actually think his dog with everything shoveled but the spot they're laying could also be meme'd to represent people whose opinion wont change in ww and doesnt care lol.

One of the primary issues that jm3 eluded to with this discussion (and many other "hot button" issues) is that people don't generally come to them with the plan of listening or possibly changing their mind.

So many people come at them expecting to change other people's mind. To force feed their opinion to the rest of the participants and then lolyou if you disagree.

It also often doesn't take long for the insults to start flying.

These coupled with the fact that you will almost never change strongly held beliefs in a short period of time, esp on the nameless faceless Internet means that discussions are generally going to be fruitless.

How many of you can actually raise your hand and say you can in here with any shred of chance to have your opinion changed?
02-05-2017 , 09:16 AM
Honestly i came here to read the thread. It did not let me down either.

Oh yeah I have 2 daughters as well so I have 66% creedance to my opinion vs monkeys 100% 3 daughter ratio.

So what is the hope for removing it tho? So that you dont see it in a forum you read? Asking cause i dont know...are you working to remove miss oot as well which obv has higher traffic and larger miss ot contests? Hell they even have a sticky. I imagine if you feel they're being objectified (not saying they are/arent) then surely getting it removed from where it has more views, threads, posts, users and even a sticky updated every year, would be v pertinent to your interests correct?
