Four Elements Walrus - Puzzles and Other Games Forum

The four classical elements dating back to the ancient Greeks are earth, air, water, and fire.

I am looking for 4 different songs. Each song should have one of the 4 elements represented in the title. However, you do not have to literally use the exact word of the classical element for each category. For instance, for the "earth" category, if the song title has the word "ground", "dirt", "clay", "mud", etc. (you get the idea) then that will be a valid entry. Similarly, for the "air" category, the song can have the word, wind, breeze, and so on.

Use your imaginations. I'm not going to be super strict as long as each of your song titles somehow embody the spirit of one of the 4 elements.

Entries are due by July 31st.

I had to google heteronym. As long as it's fairly obvious that you're honoring one of the 4 elements with each song selection you'll be fine.

While this would be eligible for the "Earth" category, this is an example of a song that would not do well.

*xander actually submitted 2 lists. One was an actual submission and the other was an alternate submission. When I put all of the songs on shuffle on YouTube I included both of xander's versions, without knowing who any of the songs belonged to. Then when I did the rankings I removed the alternate version, but I'll add an addendum to let him and everyone else know where it would have placed.

In 9th place:

This song is some kind of a mood song, but it's not any mood I've ever been or want to be in. It drags on and on, and it sort of picks up towards the end, except it doesn't really pick up much at all... other than it doesn't drag quite as much as the rest of the song. The guitar is like some kind of 1960's acid trip and the singing is supposed to be longing and emotional but it's really just whining.

Sorry, but I'm taking a hard pass on this one.
