Crown - often involve royalty so pretty good

Eagle - may be involved in many rpgs, but pretty low

Lion - like eagle

Net - play online; pretty good

Palm - sorta but not great

Paper - a lot are played on paper and Paper Mario is an rpg; I like this

Scuba diver - meh, some campaigns maybe but not great

Superhero - more hero than superhero, but good enough to guess

Hard to imagine not going with Palm, Tap, and India.

Crown jumped out at me initially, but it’s a tough one, especially if this clue is to get Net/Crown + Tap/Palm/India. Wimbledon would be much better than something general like tennis.

India has no connection to tennis, it’s to engagement for arranged marriages. And it fits modified n-1 from the love clue.

We need the last Love word, which may or may not also be the last engagement word. If it’s something we weren’t securely on, then there should also be some association to tennis. Also, why is Love capitalized?

Crown - fits engagement; not so sure about Love, but a 7 clue always includes some stretch; hits tennis for championship

Superhero - maybe why Love is capped? Are there any superheroes with Love in their name or something? Don’t see how it fits tennis tho; hits RPG pretty strongly

Unless there’s some superhero connection that you see, i think we’re between Crown and Well.

Crown can fit all three clues, imo. I just wonder why Ervin didn’t go with a more straightforward third clue to get Net and Crown - like Wimbledon. It’s possible he was worried we were on Well, so he went broader with tennis in order to get us Tap and Palm. I was already pretty meh on Well, so he didn’t need to clue us away from it, but I can understand why he would.

We’d never once mentioned Crown or Net, so I would’ve preferred a harder clue toward them, but whatever.
