This last one has to be what makes this "eShop" rather than just "shop" and I can't say I'm any closer to the answer.

Ash - Some type of funeral or fireplace store? Seems unlikely.
Boss - This would just be manager or office. Plus animal equity.
Joker - Doesn't seem like a store about funny stuff. Also animal equity.
Kiwi - Doubt it. Wouldn't this just be supermarket?
Marathon - Running store? Never heard of it if so. It's the name of an oil company, but that doesn't make sense either.
Mill - Meh. I guess I don't have a lot of reasons why this doesn't work, but "eShop" doesn't make me think "mill". It sounds more high tech than that.
Plot - Basically same feelings as mill.
Sword - Can't be ours because 3 and not 2.

This may sound stupid, but I almost want to guess sword here. It's not ours, but it's almost certainly not blue or purple because of the pruning clue. Assuming it's neutral, it's a way for us to pass in this no passing game.

We could take a random shot, but that's low percentage and hitting a blue or purple is a death sentence.

I had blade and not sword so pruning was for pruning blade and there is no pruning sword so I figured it was safe


Pruning was blade + the 3 trees: Ash, Bonsai, Maple

eShop is Nintendo’s digital store for downloading games so bank, space, Ash (Pokémon trainer)


But y’all never realized Ash is a type of tree and didn’t know eShop so needed to fade sword and win next turn as they weren’t gonna get theirs I don’t think

Never thought of ash as a tree and thought we had space as the last pruning word anyway, so never even considered that direction.

Having to deal with blade-blue/knife-neutral/sword-assassin blows.

Sorry team. I think my logic of wanting to hit a neutral there made sense, given that we had no idea what eShop is. Just really unfortunate that it flipped purple.

Maybe I shoulda done saw instead of pruning for blade, ash, maple, bonsai but I thought you may think I’m trying to avoid bonsai, which you’d never use a saw on

Not sure if saw gets you remembering Ash tree or not; Ash is common in Georgia and in furniture, but may not be in your area

They exist in New England but nearly as prevalent as they are in the southeast.

Outside of making it painfully obvious (like "tree - 3"), I'm not sure you could have done anything to make me think of trees when I look at the word ash. But then you're left with the blade/knife/sword problem.

I think saw would have been worse: We still probably don't think of ash the tree, sword is probably even higher on our list, and we may get confused about which meaning of saw you're trying for (vision, etc).

I think clues were good; we just got burned hard on the unlimited guessing rule.
