To me in a sense of "what is it?" Surfer is an occupation and Cook is the only other occupation up there. Kind of like if we were clued a city like Rome or Tokyo we would guess Beijing.

And now that I'm thinking about it that may be what alchemist was after too...so I'm convincing myself on Cook

Yea, I don't think "snowman" is occupationy enough so if Cook is wrong I agree with your thinking we'll need 2 other words

One last thought I have is maybe it's Surfer to avoid board? Cause surf we obviously guess board but surferboard isn't exactly a thing

Could be, but I like the "person" reasoning better.

Definitely something to consider if Cook isn't right.

In which case for surfer we could go the board route or do the dodge logic and try one of the other words.

My lean is board I guess, but it's close

That does seem safest I guess tho...u think it's neutral? If I knew it was I'd be fine guessing it, still a lot of mystery

I think it's likely to be neutral. But, yeah, it's really bad if it's red, so your idea of guessing something random has a lot more merit than I care to admit.

It's very close for me. If we could pass, I'd be pushing for that very hard right now. But being forced to guess puts us in a tough spot.

Snowman seems like the "safest" most neutral likely to me but I don't really wanna guess it

I just don't know exactly what a Calibur is(and am not looking to discuss it

) but kinda don't wanna guess any proper nouns

I'd be totally happy guessing into a neutral here...we just don't have any guarantees that another surfer candidate would be neutral...and it has the downside of being unlikely to be our last word

I do agree that neither Crash nor Bermuda is likely to be our winning word.

The problem is that hitting a red word is almost as bad as hitting the purple one, and there are 3 of them out there.

If they had 7 words revealed, I'd say let's go for it. If they had 5, I'd say absolutely not. 6 is this weird middle ground where it's not impossible for them to finish, but it's really dangerous for us to help them out.

Let's say we take the probable neutral. How likely do you think it is that they can get the final 3 words out of 10 next turn?

Some combos are easier to link than others but I would guess they're like 20ish % to get all 3

If I knew a word was neutral I'd totally guess it, I'm just concerned there's a chance our "safe neutrals" could still be Red and they wouldn't have the upside of winning on the spot

But if you think something is def safe like Bermuda or something I'm fine with that
