So funny popping into vugraph and seeing fmk watching the matches too. I guess we now know what players do when they get a round off.

lol, yeah you really shouldn't and I've been good about it. This is the first time I've sat out the first set though, and I'm on a schedule where I wake up at like 7:30, so I was just bored. When I've sat out the third match I have not watched.

Also I try not to watch when my teammates are on vugraph, it's just way more stressful than even playing is!

12 vs india, I think we are still in 4th or 5th. Italy plays the teams in 2nd and 3rd in their next 2 matches, so hopefully they can lose a match

It's still very early obviously but the top 3 teams have been pulling away from the rest of the pack. USA2 finishing 4th is probably slightly worse than finishing 5th, but they'd really like to finish first or second.

When the RR is over and they cut it down to 8 teams, the team that finishes 1st will be able to choose their first round opponent from 5-8th place, 2nd chooses their opponents from the remaining 5-8th place teams, etc.

Finishing 4th almost certainly means they would get a first-round match with the best team from 5-8th. If they finish 5th and if everyone assumes USA2 is a very strong team, then they would likely play against the team that finishes 4th, which often is not as strong as the strongest team of 5th-8th.

This is a general statement, anyway. In this particular event there are like 5 or 6 top teams and then a drop off. 1st and 2nd would be really valuable.

24 or 25 in the 3rd match would make this a good day.

We are only in 4th, but so far we have played by far the hardest schedule of the top teams. Playing the very bottom teams is very useful for your score.

We have a few other things going in our favor as well.
