Macadamia nuts will burn for an incredibly long time.

In fact, the ancient Aztecs used them in lanterns or torches to help guide the way at night. Distances were even reckoned by the number of nuts it took to reach the destination. Like, walk east until three nuts have burned completely. That sort of thing.

Laundry = iron/spot/tie

I thought of Ivory but didn't really think they made laundry soap. Apparently they do, though, just not at all popular
Figured the other 3 would be easily the 1st 3, but ivory stopped me from going Launder 4 in hopes of bringing in Moscow.

Festival = fair/trip/ice cream

I thought Aztec might enter into the mix, but didn't go 4 because of ketchup/nut. They didn't seem very festivaly to me though.

Then the plan was to go Northernmost 2 for Moscow + Aztec, but I still had to squeeze trip in there because I was concerned you would go nut, so I went Northward 3, & March literally didn't cross my mind :/

I was definitely hoping D1iab won a couple of those back & forths haha, but definitely my fault, especially on the March thing. Lack of situational awareness by me.

Halloween - 4 (Witch/Poison/Worm/Nut): Was hoping you would think candy and not about moons and death and ****. In retrospect, I should have said Easter, which gets the candy stuff and cross and march (a brutal word that is attached to so many blue words and the purple word).

Festival - 0: Just to get you off of fair and guessing the other things you said.

Folder - 1 (File): The clue I'm most proud of. I knew that getting all 5 here was impossible. Worse, I wasn't even sure I could get them in 2 rounds. So my strategy was to limit the number of things we say. Keep Australia and March on the board, and hopefully blue will say one of those. Was hoping that JM3 would go for it next round, because I had no plan at all for Australia/Nut/March, though I had plans for any two of those. All I needed was for blue to take one off the board for us.
