The hint about wrong movie implies Nic Cage was 2 for The Rock not Snake Eyes. His character's mission is to disable rockets. Pocket Rockets. Aces. 1+1=2. Fits the poker pocket pair theme.

Looks like the hidden clue in the riddle was that placards is kinda like play cards.

I did think about playing cards since he called them placards and gave me a diamond for saying we weren't close. But snake eyes have nothing to do with poker terms so I assumed I was wrong

I'm not sure that it. I think it meant to be table numbers like the small metal placards on a poker table designating what table it is, or what games are being played there.

.44 Magnum is a popular gun so that’s why pocket 4s are magnums

I did mean snake eyes; originally I had sally ride for pocket rockets but I did make it slightly more difficult with cage

And yeah, the numbering of poker tables but also the play on words with placard -> play cards

The next few rooms should be easier. That one was always a harder one made for poker players. I also should have changed it from photos in an envelope to something similar in a box. Could even say as you shuffle through them you see pictures of ... but didn’t want to make it too obvious.
