Lol, the funny thing is I meant to submit another song but this came on next and I muted it. Didn't realise I had copy and pasted the URL for this song by accident though (the curse of not listing band and song in this format).
Still wouldn't have won but was saving my gems for the later rounds - oops.
GL all.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm sorry , eleanor but that's just funny
yeah I know what you're talking about with the autoplay. hehehehe
It was partly a troll but mainly I just wasn't paying attention, thought it would be ranked by how clever the title was lol
Only other song I could think of was the one KarmaD submitted but I was 99% sure someone would submit that so stayed away from it
Worst.Song.Ever. but having it blasted on every day for 2 weeks when I was staying at my pals with their kids it got stuck in my head so was hoping it would have the same effect on you
Unfortunately they only have one album since they are a side project band. If you're into the vocal style though, definitely check out The National (if you're not already familiar).
Oh word - I will definitely do that. great submission!

OP, I hated tool for the longest time, they play on a non traditional beat structure and use vocal distorters so it can be very jarring. It took working on a job site in high school where the crew chief was obsessed with tool to have it forced fed into my brain before it suddenly clicked, recognized their true genius and I too became a zealot blasting it. Marijuana helps the adaptation.
there have actually been phd theses written upon mathematics behind their music
hmmm will have to check this out

set aside a time to listen to an album all the way through from start to finish, it helps if you smoke but not a necessity (I haven't smoked in ages and still love them)
a lot of their music builds off of the prior tracks and recalls earlier riffs etc so it doesn't flow nearly as well as one offs than when you listen to the album as it's constructed
a big thing is they get a lot of bad rep likely due to their fans... for example, my favorite genre of music is probably folk music, hence why I was so naturally steered away from tool given the type of guys who normally wear tool shirts aren't the kinds you'd find at a folk music festival - they are far and away my favorite band and have converted well over a dozen people who told me they hated them into huge devotees of this awesome band
Sober is probably one of the few songs that works independently
Aenima and Lateralus are my two suggestions to listen to from start from start to finish
I know I'm not long for this game, having played grab-bag Walrus with dizzy on multiple occasions. But I'm still fairly optimistic about my chances of surviving through round 3.
The Fall Out Boy song was my very first thought for that category, knew it was a good idea to avoid it.
same, and then i pondered submitting champagne for my real friends real pain for my sham friends, and then figured fall out boy would net me in the bottom
While we wait for the next reveal, I'll post a song that could have been a great fit for this category, but which is ineligible because the band has already been taken. I feel like of their entire catalog, this is one song that dizzy could get into.
I don't consider myself a big Beatles fan or anything but yeah, I doubt anything by them would get eliminated this early. Filthy was very safe last round with his submission.
Never heard that song before - it was okay. "I Am the Walrus" is my fav Beatles song I think.
