So the the 3 new teams pick all the players from the 3 previous teams that have left and when those players are all taken, the existing teams join and we draft all the new players?

Simpler, you take turns picking one of the 5 teams (i'll random the order in which 3 new teams pick unless you guys agree to take certain teams), then after you've picked in reverse order ADDITIONALLY take turns picking the best player from the 2 unpicked teams.

e.g. say you pick 3rd and pick Ginger Seal Clubbing, you get his draft pick (1.02), get his team, then are first to pick from 2 unpicked teams (say Ezekiel Elliot from FCBLComish)

I’ll ask my friend if he’s still interested, but it’s unlikely since he really did want to start fully fresh if he was going to join a league.

Ok here's the gameplan folks! Tomorrow if both wrath and heels are in we can start this.

Here's the plan:
First - I random their spots, either wrath or heels will pick a team from those 4, then the other. Whoever picked their team 2nd then chooses any player from the remaining 2 teams (like Ezekiel Elliot or Kamara) then the other does as well.

Second - I host a quick 2 round snake where we all random then draft 16 of the players off those unclaimed teams. ONLY PLAYERS OFF THESE 2 SQUADS ARE DRAFTABLE

Third - Regular draft and season!

This allows us to have a somewhat regular rookie draft than if we had no teams leave (for example there will still be solid RB1/WR1s regardless of who wrath/heels pick).

If i forgot something let me know, but will be around noonish tomorrow and rest of day next few days to get this going. Hope this goes off without a hitch and we have a great season!

I say just randomize for me and wrath. Once you’ve done that and once wrath is confirmed on board, we can pick our team and players and then get prepared for the 2 round draft.

So now you choose a team from remaining 3, then pick any player from 2 unpicked teams.

Now that I’ve chosen pwnsticks, you need to pick your team from the remaining 3. After you’ve picked your team, you’ll pick 1 player from the remaining 2 teams. I’ll then pick 1 player from the remaining two teams.

Once we both have our team and player, there will be a 2 round snake draft for all 8 teams to pick players from the remaining 2 teams.

After that draft has happened, all remaining players will go back into the pool and we will have the league draft starting tomorrow to pick from those players, rookies and anyone else who wasn’t rostered at the end of the season.

So as soon as I see you pick your team and player, I’ll pick my player. I’m refreshing this thread every 15 to 30 minutes, so I should see it pretty quickly.

You could always go ahead and set the draft order for the 2 round snake draft so we are ready to go once wrath and I are set.

just curious as to why they are getting supplemental picks from the 2 rosters-to-be-merged.

seems too great an inducement at first glance lol convince me otherwise

unless they are only the first 2 picks of the draft, then the 6 other owners draft in succession prior to their picking again. I guess that's reasonable.

Though, maybe we should rate all teams by strength of top-10 assets(per ADP or some other agreed-upon measure), and award places to the non-rookie draft accordingly.

I believe the thought was that the abandoned teams were not as desireable, so the supplemental pick was an extra incentive to stick with the league given the circumstance.

I can respect that you think 2 supplemental picks plus 2 more picks in the 2 round snake draft is too much.

I propose that wrath and I make our supplemental picks with the understanding that those are picks 1 and 2 in the snake draft.

I then propose that the remaining 6 teams follow in the current draft order in the snake draft. So it’d look like

Wrath
Tarheels
Sarcastic
Ginger
Bingo
Searix
Red
Started

And then it would snake back starting with Started.
