I've owned 2 Montblanc pens. One of them was ****ing awesome until it got stolen, and then I was in a foul mood for days because of it. The other one I still have. It's a really nice pen, but the cartridges cost a boatload and they don't last nearly long enough. I guess if you're a sports agent or a high-powered attorney, and impressing people is part of your deal, then you carry a pen around that costs more than most people pay in rent (or monthly mortgage).
And pencils? They're good for crossword puzzles and sukokus. But nobody actually writes with a pencil once they're out of grade school.
What do people actually want to carry around in their pocket/purse? A good, dependable, affordable, blue pen. The
Pilot G-2 07 in blue.
This pen rocks. One of the earliest gel pens that I can ever remember taking for a drive. The 7 mm width is perfect. No blots, no bubbles. You don't have to shake it to get it going.
The weight of the pen is nice and solid. The rubber grip makes it a pleasure to hold while you're taking notes. If you've ever owned one of these pens, then you're nodding your head in agreement with me. And if you haven't try one out and you'll be a fan.
If someone steals your Pilot G2? No worries. You can buy them by the dozen for under $1 a pen.
This isn't the pen that you wish you had. This is the pen that you're glad you have.
