We did have a hand not to far into playing where we both had 4456 in hand and a 6 flipped. I led 4 second 4 third 4 4th 4.

Probably the most eventful one.

Is there a term for when all 8 cards are played on the first round of pegging?

I don’t recall both players having 24 hands. It cuts and you are thinking you are putting the hammer down only to get outpegged and making no gain on the count.

Still waiting for my 28 or 29. Have seen three 28s all within a few days of each other when I was prolly 12 or 13. I’m 55 now.

Sounds like something fishy was likely going on there

One was a neighbor in two handed vs me.

One was my Dad. He had a years long feud when his friend cheated at a friendly round of golf. Not much bigger sin in his world.

One was my brother. No way he self dealt himself on purpose. I don’t know what but he cannot smoothly shuffle cards to save his life. He is otherwise coordinated.

Never saw one before or since.

My Mom got a 29 vs my Dad a few years before she passed. Frustrates my Dad to no end that he hasn’t gotten a 29. We figure he’s averaged at least a 1,000 games a year for 70 years.

Oddly my own royals flushed in the pokerz room were clustered in a couple of months.

Just had my first live 28. 5-5-5-10 with 5 cut card!!!!! (The 10 and cut 5 both spades, so one jack off the 29).

I’ve seen 3 as an adolescent. But that was about 45 years ago. I’ve been playing 50+ years.

To boot, it happened when I was trailing 88-93 and I went out the next hand ftw.

My late Mom is the only family member to get a 29. It eats at my Dad at age 92. 2-3 holes in one in golf but never a 29 and he has played probably 1000 live games per year for >70 years.
