This guy is young. He may still be developing his skills but I don't think he's there yet. If I went to a live comedy festival to see an unknown comedian then you could do a lot worse, but he's not really any better than average. Funniest line was how it was awkward to be 17 and look like a pedophile. It's early on and I thought it might going places, but unfortunately it didn't. Locals shouting about parking spots and his mother cupping his balls didn't really do it for me.

Spoiler:
I thought this was very amusing but it was heavily rehearsed and highly produced. They must have worked damn hard and for a damn long time to get this looking like it does and the best it can do is some douche bag on the internet calls it "very amusing". I liked the alchemy song a lot and the rest was decent, but I just think that there are much funnier things out there.

Spoiler:
I've heard of Bill Burr but had never heard any of his work before this. He's clearly a talented comedian but this clip left me wanting. I don't think it's him, I just think there are better clips to pick perhaps. I thought the tangent about the crowd's reaction to the cat and the sign language at the end were definite highlights but the rest of it was a bit meandering. Perhaps if I knew him better I'd find the rest of it funnier too. But on the plus side this definitely makes me want to check out more of his stuff.

I thought this was hilarious. Really funny clip and just what the internet was made for. I thought this a couple of months ago when I first saw it and posted it in the PUB. spurs doesn't really frequent the PUB (ironically) so this is clearly a case of great minds thinking alike but I still can't help feeling like it would score higher if this was the first time I'd seen it. It's a great clip though and I'd encourage everyone to watch it. It's not long and a description/analysis of it won't do it any favours. Starch Masks is great.

Bill Burr again. This clip is much funnier though. He gets on a great rant, is kinda edgy but can back it up with funny justification. It's what I like in a comedian and he's a natural at it. Definitely gonna check out more of his stuff after this is over. I also think that he looks like Joel McHale got cancer.

I started to watch this and was convinced that I'd find it boring and unfunny. One minute in and I'd seen nothing to change my mind, but shortly after this I began to warm to it. It made me smile more and more. Old jokes but perfect delivery and I loved the "yak, yak, yak" and slapping of the desk to accent the jokes. Really well constructed sketch. I must admit that immediately after it was finished I wanted to watch it again and I did. This is just like The Two Ronnies or Morecambe and Wise to me. Perhaps I'm sentimental for that sort of stuff. I'm sure there are many people who will watch this and can't believe that this is first and don't find it funny in the slightest but it's warming and wholesome and I like it a lot. First place

After seeing what won, I fully expect to score all zeros from here on out. That is not meant to disparage Cander or his choice in comedy at all since comedy is subjective. I just don't think we are on the same wavelength. It's cool and I'm still looking forward to there rest of the reveal

Thanks, xander! I know what you meant. It seems kind of schlocky, but it gets hold of you. I grew up watching these guys, in the later part of their career. They hold the record for the most appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show, so Ed, at least, thought they were really funny.

It was hard finding something to fit the time limit, and this was only part of a longer sketch.

Just searched that pragent video code in POG; turns out it was first posted in the POG pub in October by amplify, then xander in December AND I would have seen it because I posted asking a question about statz two posts after xander posted it. I remember coming across it first on facebook, but maybe subconsciously thought "xander would like this" after I saw you posted it

Great video anyway

I don't think that would have done too well. It's either something that I'd never find funny because I'm not into sports or something I'd have to warm up to with quite a bit of viewing.

Bill Burr is my favourite stand-up comedian, but his latest Netflix special (which this clip is from) is by far his worst work, so I wouldn't suggest starting with that. You can't really go wrong with any of his earlier specials, though.

These are the 2 clips I normally show people to see if they would like his stuff:

Yeah, I actually would not have really submitted that. It is not really a comedy skit but a joke with a long time getting to the punch line.

Most of the stuff I find funny you have already heard and is pretty mainstream.

Gorge Carlin on God and Religion is a classic - my all time favourite
(I saw him live in Vegas years ago)

Kevin Meany had some good stuff

John Pinette did too (theme park slide is funny)

My type of humour is mostly this...

hey guys, just to let you know:

I've listened to round 3 a couple of times and I'm not sure on the order. I'm gonna sleep on it and listen to them and rank them tomorrow.

I know I said 2 reveals this weekend, but this wouldn't be a walrus without scheduling setbacks now would it...

thanks for your patience and understanding

bah, was hoping Max and Ivan would do better

they're incredible performers, and brilliant physical comedians

strongly considered going with the below, but I think that while the final punchline is just incredible it's not as consistently funny as the video I posted
