Pierre Paul is a football player often known for his amazing catches. As a result I’m thinking probably hand + palm + one other.

Yeah. I figured out after a few seconds. Darned “e” names

I could make a case for:

Center - football position
Fair - as in fair catch
Kick - you kick a lot in football
Luck - lucky catches (less likely imo)

Most others seem meh to me

Yeah, I am not the best target for that clue, sadly. I don't really watch or follow football, these days.

The question in my mind is "how many words for P-P specifically, and how many for football generally?" Since there are so many football answers possible, and it is unlikely they are all blue, our good spymaster is not likely to lead us into trouble with too many generic football answers.

If he makes a lot of catches, hand and palm are nicely specific. If he is an offensive player, only center really works, but they don't catch. For special teams, fair catch is a good guess. Kick doesn't really fit, specifically. Lucky is good for everybody, but maybe too generic. If he is a defensive back, then he might make a lot of sacks as well as catches. I leave the final call to irtm.

i've never heard the term butterfly toes. is that a common thing?

The guess that lost us the turn was the second word. So we got our first guess right and lost the 2nd. I just think it avoids confusion since if they put palm first we get 0 and none for hand that turn.
