I'm totally guessing here but the only thing that could make sense is France. If the flintlock gun originated in France then it would be a slam dunk. In the olden days Napoleon fought in a lot of wars, so it's possible.

Revolution could be the 3rd red word for the Communist connection. I don't like France to be the 3rd red word because of Tokyo still being on the board

If it was up to me I'd go France but I'm not just going to swoop in after 2 days of absence and ruin all your hard work.

Someone else tell me a possible reason to go quite so specific as flintlock and you've got my attention, but I'm not seeing it.

I'm ok with France over Racket.

I can see racket as a slight fit but surely:

1). you'd go musket or cannon or gunpowder over "flintlock"
2). you'd try to fit racket in with cricket if you were able to fit stick in there

Racket may have been the real cricket answer.

I don't know that bayonet is a French invention but it sure does sound French. And it would have the same equity as flintlock if they're both French.

We've been quiet for a couple of days here. I'll give my team til later tonight to make some progress. Absent of that I'm going to guess France, which seems to be the closest to a consensus and end this game one way or the other.

I'm against racket, fine with arm, ok with France, and still on team torch.

I think we're committed to France at this point?

I like Ninja because we picked it before (it was never ruled on) and he never moved us off it, but I think we should figure out what they missed before we pick arm..

Looking back at their Flintlock 3 they picked pistol and revolution and they were good. They spent quite a bit of time making cases for and against arm, france and racket.

We should normally be worried about arm, but spurs gave us a educator 1 clue (teacher), with no new hints as to what our last two picks should be. That should leave us with picking Ninja and arm. I cant think of any good reason to give a 1 clue for 3 words except that he didn't want to throw in a 2 clue that might confuse us?

Is there any chance that spurs is doing anything other than saying pick the two underlined words on Carl's list.. Ninja and arm..??

He should be expecting us to say ninja and arm here, so I expect they are good.
We had brought up the idea of teacher as a classics word and kind of forgot about it, so it all falls into place.
