thiiiiink so - just thinking through combos of words - I would think violet + smuggler might be something like lavender. What would violet + helicopter be? It's between that and spy though I'm liking spy more currently

Just been thinking and there's no real way to differentiate spy + violet or helicopter + violet as clues - think we would be given this either way but does hit spy harder. GL us!!

Also you had figure next on your list...if it was figure I always go atomic - unlimited or some other bomb-only word unlimited so you can make up england ink figure, thus figure was the only word it couldn’t be

I did performance over performer to get bomb (you can bomb a performance) and keep you from comic, but I figured you may go comic anyway and was ok with it

I’m not sure if there was a better stream + bomb clue I coulda chosen

Also, unlimited for me always means 2 + makeup unless we are on last turn, so Guardian - unlimited was england+ink and then keep on your last list...y’all did that one correctly, but I don’t think you were certain I only had 2 for Guardian

maybe pipe = stream + bomb

But only 2 of our makeup words were correct, so if you say Guardian 2, then we still get England+ink and make up the next 2 words on the list. Unlimited there should indicate that we can finish that turn and/or the next 3 on our list were correct. That's why it was confusing.

I don't understand. We would've said those 2 words anyway, and we also know that Guardian is only for 2 words. There is no reason to give an unlimited clue in that spot unless we can finish that turn/pick up 3+ words.

Because I do unlimited when I like the list, when I don’t do unlimited then you know the list is bad (often means first word on list is theirs/assassin)

If one of our next words was assassin, then you have to give us a 0 clue, otherwise it's game over.

If you have a list and have 2-3+ words to makeup and I go unlimited then you know to say the list along with 2 for my new clue

If you have a list and have 2-3+ words to makeup and I don’t go unlimited then you know something on your list I don’t want you to say (theirs/assassin; I don’t usually care about neutrals)

Most of my teammates know this and in past when I didn’t do unlimited they’ve posted “i guess we are on wrong track”

Yeah, if one is assassin then likely a 0 clue (unless long list where we can hit an assassin)


But it’s just another way for the spymaster to lead the team along the path they want...at times I may do unlimited even if you are then gonna hit their word because it’ll still result in us likely winning, but only spymaster knows what they want to happen so communicating that with clues is good.

Nich, you were playing it like a normal game where you can only makeup one word a round. We would have no reason to believe we were on the wrong track with a 2 clue in that spot. Unlimited made it more confusing than it needed to be.
