GG all, sometimes tough to have everyone in synch and our team disagreed on guesses almost every turn

We definitely needed another clue for Buffalo since we thought we were done as nails mentioned - we're certainly going to assume time was part of it if apple was a hit but very tricky scenario - we think we're done and that's hard to recover, I've done the opposite where I've clued for 5 and then the game is spent with guessers going on a goose chase for a stretchy 5th word which is just as bad

On the last turn we're pretty screwed as played, none of us wanted to guess the actual correct words and if we pass after Bond, Blue can just go English - 2 or whatever and clean up their top 2 + Viking/Revolution

Our best chance was the turn before and think we could have spent a little more time trying to sniff it out - seems like ideal scenario would be guessing our 5 and passing with soup/words at the top of our list, though this still leaves us with the tough 3 combo for the last turn. Instead of explosion - 0 I may have tried something like bison - unlimited to run into soup, then finish it out next turn with something like England or Lupin - 2

I enjoy the awkward games a lot as those often have the most maneuvering and deciphering but we didn't get it figured out this time, GG everyone and fun game

Maybe chick below Hollywood is the only suggestion I have. Chick for woman has been hit or miss at times in codenames, and Hollywood seems pretty strong, imo.

Part might even be higher than Chick...not sure

I think Clarice would've been a better clue for the top 6 in nails' list, since they all relate to one movie.

Also, a character's name hits part better than an actor's name imo.

Would be my rough order, though I don't feel that strongly about anything outside the top 4. I think there should be more to it than just SotL stuff, and Contact is probably her 2nd most famous role (or maybe Taxi Driver, but I don't see much up there that fits that).

I'm fine with D1's top 4, but would like Part to be 5. Don't really have a preference beyond that.

I do think Jack should be on the back-up list.

I just always worry about part because it at least vaguely fits pretty much every clue, so it's kind of hard to avoid. I'm still fine guessing it, but it's the main reason I like it less than you guys.

Also forgot about Jack. Not even sure where I'd rank it. :/

I worry about scientist being so high. Even though he did not say Clarice (as D1 noted), there are so many SOTL things that fit.

I forgot about the stalker thing...that makes it even stronger imo. Why is buffalo stronger than doctor? I know Buffalo Bill, but that was not her role either, and Dr Lecter is a much bigger character. Plus, scientists are doctors, and I thought she might've played a medical doctor in another movie? I might be making that last bit up tho.

I just feel like there should be 2+ words unrelated to SotL, because Jodie muddies the waters too much otherwise with so many more options to choose from.

Yeah, I see your point but imo Buffalo trumps Doctor in the same way that Hannibal would trump Buffalo. Yeah he was a doctor, but Buffalo is a pretty odd name yet here it is, on the list of 50.
