ok, so I think our top 6 do fit into old clues ok, so there is a chance we are right

also chance we are wrong on one and something like conductor is ours, but dunno

we were clued the same words twice in a row so I'm gonna look at our last list before we bold

yeah i mean i'd be kinda surprised if we're 100% right since getting anything over a 3 at endgame to fit perfectly is usually not possible

but olive is a lock, knight seems close to a lock, and the others seem like they fit decently with our past clues

Having been in this type of Hail Mary situation as a spymaster, the connections here may be incredibly thin/distant.

That said:

Bridge - maybe
Cliff - yep
England - yep
Field - maybe
Greece - maybe (location)
Olympus - maybe (location, hike equity)
Parachute - did paratroopers drop into Dover in WWII?
Soldier - WWII reference?
Temple - maybe
Well - maybe

Problem here is that almost all of these are or have been on our list, which is problematic (doesn't need to give a 6 clue if our list is good). But I got nothing in terms of connecting Dover with the other words that are left.

Agree with your assessment, but bridge is out.

I'd say cliff/england/olympus/field/parachute would be my top 5, but will have a proper look later.

If the above is correct, we need 6 words already clued that also match with Dover.

Bridge is out not just because they like it, but it was next in our list and this should be a 5 clue for the win if Bridge was good (I think?)

From nails' list these are possible imo

Cliff for hike/Dover (lock pick really)
England for Dover (but where else does it connect?...pharmacy?? hike?? both seem weak)
Soldier (could be hike/Dover)
Field seems reasonable in a stretch for Dover and it fits hike
Temple was a back-up for tiki, but the Dover link???
Olympus... hike but where is Dover... the cliffs of Dover would fit
parachute .. don't see hike/tiki/pharmacy connection (plus has blue equity)
well .. could be pharmacy and Dover (Dover as a place must have wells)

My initial thoughts

I like cliff/field/soldier/Olympus/England/Well and think England more likely to be hike than pharmacy.

But, we would then have one too many hike words and need a tiki word???

If there's a famous church in Dover (no idea if there is), that might be enough make a connection to Temple, which would give us our tiki word. Not sure which hike word to drop - maybe Field?

Tough game with a ton of clues, but their last list and ours don't have much overlap except we liked bridge and parachute is possible.

Well scares me but it is hard not to see it as the best possible pharmacy word left. Dover really doesn't strengthen it much though.

But, as you noted, a game-ending 6 clue is going to be imperfect... there will be weak connections by necessity.

Agree we pretty much have to say temple here, even if there is no apparent connection. Are there any other possible tiki connections anybody can make? If not, maybe we can just fire off cliff/england/temple and see where we stand.

Is there any chance tiki was supposed to be an Olympus word? Starting to think that might actually be more likely.

I was thinking that tiki has a strong torch link, and then you have Olympus/Olympic to Olympic Torch.. It is odd as it is an answer off an answer rather than an answer off a clue.

But, on the Mount Olympus side, and the Greek Gods connections, do you see any tiki connections? This one really should not have been that hard for us, as it was part of 2 clue. I feel we missed something obvious...

Temple is tricky. It wasn't on our list at all for most of the game; basically only if Aztec was wrong for tiki. But Aztec was wrong, so we were definitely guessing Temple this time around. Does that mean Dover is steering us away from it?

Meanwhile, going back to the item - 0 clue, which words does that eliminate? I'm thinking:

So, after Cliff/England/Temple and the above words, that leaves:

Conductor - someone who leads a hike?
Deck - tiki bar has a deck?
Field - we've liked it all along for hike
Fighter - D1iab mentioned this previously as an animal word, and it wasn't prominently on our list at any point
Greece - you can hike there, it's a location like Dover, did the Greeks invent the pharmacy? Could be an alternative to Olympus, as Greece hasn't been on our list
Olympus - we've liked it all along for hike
Soldier - hike equity, possibly Dover equity if Dover has anything to do with WWII
Space - open space is where you hike, presumably open space on the White Cliffs of Dover; hasn't been on our list
Well - pharmacy equity, probably wells in Dover, but been on our list for a while

In terms of words that could fit a prior clue and haven't been on our list at all, Greece and Space seem like the best two to me. And Soldier has been on our list but usually at the very bottom.

I don't know if this the right strategy, but the clue pattern suggests it's gotta be some combination of words on our list, but not at the top, and words not on our list at all.
