Torch I see. I think of the South Pacific with tiki so the Aztec connection does not seem strong, except there really is not much on the board it could be.

Temple seems weaker than Aztec.

I don't see a strong connection between hiking and torch - not like camping and torch (either flame or flashlight). But tiki fits torch well.

I first thought of tiki bar, torch, hut and Kon Tiki Expedition.. only Torch seems to connect.

You could certainly hike at night. Plus there's caves/canyons or whatever. I think it's a fair bit stonger than some of the other words we've had on our list, plus we've obviously been way off on our hike words and still need 5.

I agree with Torch and Aztec for tiki. I could see torch as a possible hiking word.

Are we still liking Bridge and Field from the list?

I don't know what to think anymore. Maybe Aztec could even be a hike word?

And are we done with animal words? I'm kinda scared to guess anything else now.

Seeing as it was a 2 clue and not an unlimited, it suggests that things are not good in the Olympus, Soldier, Cliff.. section, maybe starting with Cliff being a problem??

I am not sure we have any choices other than picking Torch, Aztec, Bridge, Field, autopass...

We've got Bear/Cat/Dog/Shark/Vet. Would Sound have been the other animal word? If not, Trunk is the only thing I see still out there that fits, and I don't think we should be guessing that at this point.

I guess field could mayyybe fit, and fighter as I mentioned earlier. Agree about not guessing trunk.

Are we just gonna leave our backups in the order we have them? There's obviously mistakes in there, just not sure where they start or finish.

I suggest we take Olympus off the list and keep it pretty much the same.

We are short on info but no unlimited clue could suggest don't guess (in fact we cant guess....) beyond the +2 of Bridge and Field, and the first word is Olympus. If we remove Olympus then we can change our back-up list in case it connects and the new list gives AE an opportunity.

So, maybe we should look at

Torch
Aztec
Bridge
Field
autopass

Soldier (hike)
Cliff (hike)
Well (pharmacy)

what do you guys think about that...??

Only problem with that is that is if field/bridge/olympus are ours and soldier is bad, then we still get a 2 clue here. Same if say bridge/olympus are, but field isn't.

So even knowing there are mistakes, reordering our backups almost feels like a crapshoot and may just make things worse.

You asked if we should reorder.

If you want to reorder, then maybe post a reordered list that fits your rationale for reordering. If there is not a reorder that you are comfortable with, or that you think could make things worse, them we probably should not.

I am fine with either route. Guess the 4 and keeping the makeup order as it was

or

guessing the 4, removing Olympus, and keeping the rest..

Yeah, I asked if you thought we should. There are pros and cons for both, but I think maybe we shouldn't just in case we end up dropping the wrong word.

I'm not too fussed either way tho.

That works for me. If you want to move Well up the list, I'm fine with that, too. It's the only other word that really works for pharmacy, so it's very likely ours.

Just wondering if we should move cliff ahead of soldier as well? The only reason we moved it down to begin with was because blues were gonna say it next, but now we know it's not theirs.
