Right - list time:

Africa - has no link to any of the clues for me so far, confident in ruling this one out.
Bell - potential for detection, if something/someone is detected then a bell could potentially be an alarm? pretty weak though.
Carrot - happy to rule this one out as well, doesnt link to either.
Cell - potential maybe for detection? detect cells in science? seems weak
Deck - i keep coming back to this for navy but really not sure why.
Laser - is potential for detection and one of my stronger preferences.
Lawyer - the navy has lawyers. people being detected have lawyers. Not ruling this one out.
Lion - happy to rule this one out as well, doesnt link to either.
Millionaire - happy to rule this one out as well, doesnt link to either.
Rock - happy to rule this one out as well, doesnt link to either.
Thief - thieves are detected, really like this one.
Watch - can make a weak case for detection but unlikely.

We had a very hard list. I felt I had to risk you had the knowledge for this one.

The Lannister's were known for being rich and used the Lion as their symbol. Dwarf you got

Cookie 2 (Chocolate Circle)

You got this one. I was in a tough spot because your list had two blues in it, including the first clue. A zero clue seemed non-winning for sure. I had to make at least a little progress.

Me jumping ahead and cluing for circle was intended as a clue to skip dance completely. If dance was ours, I just give a new clue and let you say it with the +1 rule.

Pasteur -2 (Microscope and Europe)

Great get here. There were a number of ways that could have gone sideways and you avoided the traps.

Bullish - 3 Lion, Bell, Millionaire

I thought I had a pretty good clue for these (golden - 3) but then I noticed "watch" on the list at the last moment before I posted. This was plan B.

Bullish was intended in the context of the stock market as well as the animal connection to lion. "Closing bell" is a common stock market term, at least in the NYSE.

Not a great clue my any means, but it was the best I could come up with after I realized golden wasn't going to work.

great clue on last turn Carl and glad PC was watching Better Call Saul(one of my favorite shows + Breaking Bad obv!)

thought a good bit on the last clue - considered a bunch of things like trace, sight, shootout, phantom, fence, and security - all seemed to have problems. I wanted to do a clear 2 which was getting difficult, hoping both of those would be guessed and then a search would start for the missing navy word(naval yard makes sense which I missed)

KARMA!!!! FANTASTIC GUESSING!!! and I bet you were *this close* to pulling the trigger on Deck too. I'm almost always going to give a closeout chance if the other team has 3 to go(clueing 1 when other team has 3 would give information implying their 3 is tricky) - you've made me think a 2 clue is the best play in the event I messed up the navy clue(if I intended for lawyer/rock or something on turn 2) as your Pass option doesn't give them information and could prevent stretchier guesses that are needed like Bell in this case

On turn 3 when Karma detected the clued 2(which seemed SO HARD AND WENT PERFECTLY!) I thought it was about to be over and prepared
