This was intended for post, worm, port, and seal. Like seal a hole. I knew it got thin after the first three, and you were liable to say a bunch of stuff, but I needed to get aggressive after they got 4. I missed the way belt fit.

yacht - 5

I was in a tough spot. Giving a zero clue for belt seemed like a play that was going to lose most of the time. The intent was port, limo, seal, penguin, duck. The last three being just the water relationship mostly. I realize platypus fits that connection, too.

I just was hoping you'd knock out 3-4 words at least, so we'd have a chance of winning the next turn. I knew you'd assume belt was good, but I was just going to live with it and at least hope you said it farther down the list.

I totally forgot about mercury motors. In that case I do a 6 clue, and maybe you steer away from belt.

Everything else basically worked as intended.

Tough boards with some brutal blockers. Zurvan had an impossible last turn imo.

Lorde was intended to pick up chair (throne), tap for music, and Platypus as a hail Mary.

Obviously wolverine was for superhero, belt (superheroes wear them) and platypus (High Jackman is Australian). My bad on missing spike.

I had Batman for a better superhero and belt clue, but Penguin blocked it

Was never going to get the Lorde clues. When line failed I didn't consider tap. Thought Lorde to Platapus was far too tenuous when there are plenty of better clues to connect a musician with that.

If Lorde was meant to make me think Lord for throne/chair then that's not allowed in the rules. If there is some other connection to get from Lorde to throne/chair then I didn't know it.

I was going to guess Platypus next because it's an the most similar animal to a Wolverine. Was always going for spike ahead of anything else though.
