I'm out of power (stupid Florence) so when I get it back (tomorrow morning current estimates) and have my computer I'll go ahead and rand the teams.
Teams will be responsible for starting their own threads. All timers for all games will start at 12:01am EST the day *after* the teams are randed, or when the first clue is posted itt.
Lets give people a bit of time to see this. We'll say that all timers start at 12:01 PM Server time tomorrow (that's in ~13.15 hours).
As stated before, the first round will be group play. A, B, C, and D are all in 1 group. With E, F, G, and H of course in the other group.
Recommend starting with A vs B, C vs D. E vs F, and G vs H. Then winners play, then play whoever you didn't play yet. But as long as you get your 6 games in, whatever works.
48 hour timers for each team. Timer starts once the board has been updated for the past clues / guesses.
Round 1 will be a pool format regardless of the number of starting teams. Each match-up will be 2 game match, with each spy master going once.
Best 4 teams will advance to the semi finals. In the even of a tie in records after group play, average margin of victory (as scored by non-guessed words of the opposite team) will be the tie breaker.
Teams may choose their spy master on game 1 each round. Spy master must be difference on game 2. On game 3 or a round (semis and finals only), you may again choose your spy master but it must alternate for each game 3 after that.
All other standard rules apply.
Teams may rand their own boards and proceed as needed until their round is finished.
If you have questions during the event or need a ruling please post them in this thread.
