It was architect... you missed bad except for maybe the "physical" structures part. It was one of the least physical jobs on the board.

My clue relates to the thing this person sits at their job every day and makes. In the old days, they had Gad's clue in their hands.

Wait, how?

I assumed it referred to "blue pencil," which is what architects use/used

But I couldn't remember whether that was an actual thing, which is why I found eb's initial post compelling

I totally misread / interpreted the "I don't like the connection" thing. I thought it was in reference to me, which is totally my fault and maybe a bit of the ol' narcissism flaring up.

Sigh, guess I needed a better clue. So much of what I was coming up with had very little overlap with other clues, though. Office, Firm... was too easy to narrow it from there

EB's clue turned out to be very good. It could be seen as a perfect and precise clue to appease the villagers while actually sending the chameleon in the wrong direction (looking for a labour intensive job).

I think this shows the village can be a bit less cagey with our clues. Only 1 chameleon has been able to guess, and that was round 1 before folks caught on.

When I was chameleon, I probably had 30% equity to guess or so, and that was using my own clue as the best source of info.

As I recall nobody has been too close to guessing.
