urgh

i think i like both Nich and D1iab, which would make my choices a guy who put a random name and a guy with a very specific-sounding clue that i can't yet connect to the word

this is dumb

Nich could have just done the same clue as the chameleon, maybe; it has some amount of board coverage at level 1 (although not super-broad)

I'm willing to clear nich if only because that would be one hell of a gamble. I know he can get FPSy at times but that's a bit much.

yeah

i was having a hard time with this one for some reason, and that's the clue that immediately came into my head, so that's the one i ultimately went with

i even tested it on my girlfriend and she came up with the connection (although she came up with a different one first haha)

[as in, i said to her "hey, so the secret word is x and i'm thinking of this as my clue. if you knew the secret word was x, would you be able to find a natural connection between x and my clue?"]

Just telling us what he/it is shouldn’t do that or it’s a bad clue bc if chameleon knows it then they know the word if it’s that obvious

No, we just want to know what his clue is

If it’s a made up word, we don’t want to give him info on what the word is so he can then make up a definition that fits

It’s pretty evil genius, actually, as he has more info now than when he posted the clue and we can’t research so he gives a fake word, then takes in all our clues plus the posting info and gives it a definition that is more likely to fit the word than if he gave a real word to start.

Hmmm think I can safely say what my clue means without giving anything away if no one understands it

Madejski stadium is a well known football (soccer) stadium in England

If research was allowed then the chameleon could've just googled it and got the word pretty much straight away

Outdrawed, is there a way for you to give a hint about your clue that will help someone who knows the word without revealing much to the chameleon?

I can try and do the same for mine if people don't get it
