Box Office Draft 2024 Thread - Puzzles and Other Games Forum

Proposed rules:

- No January movies
-10 teams, 8 picks per team (no January and maybe still a reduced number of movies?)
-$325m cap on each pick (Maybe move this?)
-Snake draft of the ABBABABAB variety
-Most North American box office at the end of January 2024 wins

Note: If your movie gets (1) moved to 2023 or (2) does not get a theatrical release or (3) gets a simultaneous streaming/theatrical release (be wary of Netflix films!) (I think we need to get rid of this one for this year, too many high profile simultaneous streaming releases last year), you may pick a movie that went unpicked, but it must be at least two weeks from release.
For substitutions only: $250m cap if its a 1st round pick, $150m cap for a round 2 pick, $100m cap for round 3 & 4, $75m for round 5 & 6, $70m cap for round 7 & 8, and $50m cap for round 9 & 10. I lowered all of these a bit.

If we want to discuss rules quoting them from last time

My initial response would be to do 10 rounds, leaving us with 60 picks overall. I'm honestly not sure though how slim the year is due to the delays from strikes.

it wasn't gonna make 2024 even without strikes; they barely finished the 2nd in time for this year, working everyone a ton and so to turn around and overwork them all again to get it out 1 year later wasn't gonna happen anyway
