the novel is a pos. i tried reading it for the first time earlier this year and got halfway through only because everyone kept telling me how amazingly great it is. it ****ing sucks.

This ****ing guy gets it...I haven't been able to get more than probably 100 pages into it

I haven't read Dune in about 20 years. As I recall, it might take 100 pages or more to really get into it. But by the time you reach the halfway mark, you should be there.

Yeah im kinda here. I hope it does well (obviously) but if Blade Runner could be god damn amazing to someone like me who doesnt indulge in sci-fi a lot, then I know this movie will be done right and turn out incredible.

I'm not in love with Artemis Fowl. But it does have Disney behind it with a 125 mil budget. I mean even Wrinkle in Time made a 100 mil
