I was all for giving you more time and not skipping you at all but now that you've picked and we've discussed it I'd say no as it's not really fair if you snipe something on someone's short list which you'd be really likely to do at this point

Yea I mean I'm not saying it will make only 20M, I just mean I saw the trailer and was whelmed. In all likelihood it will probably be an okay horror movie, maybe good for 100M+, I just think it's not going to be a powerhouse comic book flick some people might be expecting

I'm with Thingy here. It was our next pick if we didn't go with Alita. New marvel properties have done very well the last five years. No idea why this one wouldn't be at least similar in audience makeup.

Well two reasons:

A) maybe it was just a ****ty trailer, but unless you saw the Marvel logo beforehand, you would have no idea this was a comic book movie, let alone Marvel. This is coming from someone who bleeds marvel.

B) This is not the MCU/Disney. It's Fox, who yes gave us X Men, but more recently has been giving us more and more garbage and is not nearly the gold-mine that Marvel Studios/Disney is. Also, with Disney's newest acquisition of Fox/Sony comic character rights, I don't know how this will affect movies currently in the works like New Mutants, Venom and Gambit. It may actually help them, but something tells me not

Shoot that was 2nd on my short list.

My first thought ~a round ago was "it's going to flop just like Ghostbusters and do less than 100" however since the trailer game out last night and doing a bit more research I think it's a solid pick. Got a good chance of doing >100 and perhaps even outperforming 12 and 13 imo.

And actually even if it makes as much as Ghostbusters did it would be a solid performance for pick 25 or w/e

Oceans 8 was my plan with my pick, but I watched the trailer and realized it sucks

The trailer makes Ghostbusters look like an Oscar contender

I haven't actually watched it myself, but Reddit made it sound like it was pretty good. (Read: they didn't say it was hot garbage so in Reddit's views, it appears watchable)
