indie rock with smart lyrics that throws the vocals back and forwards between the male and female singers? this was obv going to do well

ultimately I'd like a bit more #emotion, this falls into that category of 'post punk stuff that's trying a bit too hard to be cool and dissociated' for me, but then the whole thing is good and fun and catchy and it's more a case of 'this is why I like it but don't love it'

mexineil with Ka Ba Ta Bo Da Ka by And So I Watch You From Afar

yeah I don't exactly know why I enjoy ASIWYFA more than I enjoy most other mathy post-rocky type bands, but they do just seem a bit more 'fun' than the others, and this song is exactly in line with that, it's smart enough to interesting but fun enough to not be totally cold

and then you've gone and submitted my all time favourite Elliott Smith song

so yeah, I was always going to struggle to rank this one objectively, it really is just a perfect little song, just strikes a chord somewhere in my soul

Waltz #2 probably my favorite but yeah Say Yes is a beauty.

Meanwhile I read an article about Jennifer Chiba recently and she is, of all things, a relationship therapist...lol. Wish the real story could come out.

Have you heard this song that Ben Folds wrote about ES? One of my favorite BF songs. Blows my mind that someone can sit down to write a tribute song like this and just **** it out. Crazy

Thanks for letting me down easy. I forget that you are a product of the 90s more than the 80s. While Tarzan Boy is not my favourite song, it always takes me back to that time of fun and energy in the music.

actually I picked that song completely unknowing that it was a cover of Bush. But then I did discover it and thought....huh neat. This version is nice and trippy and the ivdeo is doubly so. Love it!

Quite a nice vibe, never really does anything with it. Maybe I'm robbing this? Nah over time I decided not, that intro is great but then nothing really happens and I lose interest, this isn't really a song, it's an intro for a song (probably something like 8 minutes long given the pace of this) and then it just suddenly fades out and ends and that's it WHERE IS MY SONG DAMMIT THIS IS JUST VOLBEAT ALL OVER AGAIN EXCEPT MOODIER

oh god dammit, once again, really nice vibe, doesn't do anything with it, feels like an intro rather than a song in its own right. Love the first 30 seconds of this, but…where's the build or climax or anything? It's just a thing that exists then finishes. Definitely the nicest of the 'this is not actually a song is it' group of three, but still this isn't actually a song is it, enough of this
