With a scream he dropped his improvised torch, then began to weep uncontrollably. Finally, the wracking sobs stopped. Looking around, he climbed in with the poor woman, and closed the lid. Half an hour later, he felt the box being lifted and moved, then lowered into its final resting place. He heard the thumps as earth poured in from above, sealing him in with the woman he could not live without.
